Full Job Description
Job Description

The Product Operations Leader is responsible for scaling and governing product operations across a complex, multi-product, global SaaS portfolio. This role serves as the connective tissue between Product Management, Business Leaders, Software Engineering, and Go-To-Market teams - Marketing, Sales, Customer Success - ensuring our products are delivered consistently, efficiently, scaled responsibly, and continuously improved using data-driven insights.

This role requires strong systems thinking, operational rigor, and a passion for enabling product teams to perform at their best in a fast-paced, regulated SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

Product Operations Strategy & Execution
  • Design and evolve the end-to-end product operating rhythm (strategy → roadmap → delivery → measurement)
  • Ensure decision points (strategy, funding, prioritization) happen at the right time - not reactively
  • Establish and/or embed scalable, repeatable planning and execution cadences across teams

Intake, Prioritization & Decision Discipline
  • Establish lightweight intake and triage mechanisms for new opportunities (e.g., deal-driven requests, customer inputs)
  • Improve clarity and consistency in how roadmap decisions are made and communicated
  • Partner with Product & Sales leadership to reduce escalation-driven prioritization

Cross-Functional Enablement
  • Align Product, Business, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Finance around shared priorities and timing
  • Enable predictable coordination across GTM, releases, and roadmap commitments
  • Act as a neutral orchestrator across functions (without formal authority)
  • Act as a strategic partner to Business, Engineering, Design, Sales, GTM, Customer Success, and Support
  • Improve feedback loops from customers and internal stakeholders into product decision-making and roadmap prioritization.
  • Enable high-quality launches through strong coordination and readiness practices and post-launch measurement

Data, Insights & Operational Review
  • Define and operationalize product and business metrics (OKRs, adoption, outcomes)
  • Build executive-ready dashboards and monthly/quarterly operating reviews
  • Ensure insights are used to inform decisions - not just reported

Process, Tools & Scalability
  • Rationalize and optimize product tooling (Aha, Jira, Dovetail, analytics platforms)
  • Balance speed vs governance - avoiding unnecessary process overhead while ensuring quality and accountability
  • Drive consistency across global teams without reducing autonomy

Change Leadership & Organizational Scale
  • Coach product leaders on operating model, continuous improvement and operational excellence best practices
  • Lead adoption of new ways of working (pods, lifecycle improvements, etc.)
  • Enable scaling across multiple products, teams, and geographies

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, or Business Operations within a SaaS or technology environment
  • Proven experience building Product Operations in a multi-product SaaS environment
  • Strong systems thinker AND executor
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders without authority
  • Deep understanding of Agile, product lifecycle and business planning
  • Success aligning disparate cross-functional priorities (Sales/Product/Engineering)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating acquired products or teams into a unified operating model

What Success Looks Like
  • Product teams operate with clear priorities and fewer mid-cycle disruptions
  • Roadmap decisions are predictable, transparent, data-informed and aligned to business goals
  • Deal-driven requests are handled through structured intake, not escalation
  • Leaders have real-time visibility into performance, risks, and outcomes
  • The organization shifts from reactive execution → proactive, data-informed decisions
  • Scalable operating rhythms are embedded but do not slow down Agile teams

Why This Role Matters

This role is critical to ensuring our product organization can scale with speed, clarity, and focus. The SaaS Product Operations Leader enables better decisions, healthier teams, and stronger outcomes for customers and the business.
