Full Job Description
About the role

Anthropic's model releases help us advance the frontier of both model intelligence and model safety. Each one brings research, product, policy, legal, communications, sales, and every part of marketing together around a single moment.

You'll build and run the operating system behind that: the launch calendar, the plan of record for every deliverable, the path materials take through review, and execution on launch day. You'll treat the launch process itself as a product - one with users across the company, a quality bar, and a roadmap - and drive adoption through influence.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role on a lean product marketing team. When launch volume peaks, you'll contribute directly as a product marketer across all products and surfaces. If you've run launches where many moving parts had to converge at the same time, and you'd rather design the system than run it by hand, we'd like to meet you.
Responsibilities
  • Own the model launch calendar and sequencing across a broad portfolio of releases, coordinating timing with partner teams across marketing, product, and communications
  • Own the plan of record for each launch - deliverables, owners, dependencies, and deadlines - and surface risks early enough to act on them
  • Own the path launch materials take through review, partnering with legal, policy, research, and communications so reviews happen in the right sequence against dates people can plan to
  • Drive decisions and alignment across senior cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority
  • Own launch-day execution: sequencing, timing, access, and the operational readiness of everything that goes live together
  • Own the internal resources our field teams reach for first, along with the operational side of enablement - scheduling, speakers, and materials logistics
  • Develop and improve launch processes, playbooks, and operational frameworks that scale beyond any one launch
  • Own launch retrospectives, recurring product communications, and - when volume requires it - launch materials themselves
You may be a good fit if you
  • Have owned launch or release operations end to end, and been accountable for launches landing on time and in good shape
  • Have built or substantially improved a launch or release process
  • Treat process as a product - you care whether people adopt what you build, and you measure it
  • Background in product marketing, product operations, technical program management, and launch production all fit
  • Work well when priorities and timelines shift, and can keep a complex plan coherent as details change
  • Are effective at driving decisions across senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Have a technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Write clearly, and can produce launch-ready material
  • Are energized by ambiguity and moving fast in a rapidly evolving market

Role-specific policy: For this role, we expect staff to be able to work from our San Francisco or New York office at least 2 days a week. We encourage you to apply even if you might need some flexibility for an interim period of time for relocation.

Deadline to apply: None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.

For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.

Annual Salary:

$255,000-$320,000 USD

Logistics

Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience

Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience

Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position

Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.

Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
