Position SummaryVirtuous is hiring a full-stack Product Marketing Manager: someone who writes the messaging, then goes and builds the thing themselves. You'll own Virtuous' product positioning and competitive intelligence day to day, and you'll be the person who turns every product release into content people actually see and sales can actually use.
If you want to own something end to end, this is your kind of role. You'll write the one-sheeter, then open Canva, Claude, or Figma and lay out the page. You'll write the video script, then open Premiere or VEED and cut it. Someone from our brand team can help you polish it, but your job is to get it 80% there.
This role is built for people who love making things themselves. If the idea of opening Figma or Premiere and building the final asset excites you, you'll thrive here.
What You'll DoCore Product Marketing- Work with Virtuous GM's on overall product positioning and messaging framework, the throughline across every product.
- Run competitive intelligence: track competitors, keep battlecards current, and brief sales on how to win specific deals.
- Build out ideal customer profiles and buyer personas across our nonprofit segments (faith, human services, healthcare, higher ed, K-12).
- Partner with leadership on pricing and packaging conversations, bringing the market and customer view to the table.
- Run win/loss analysis and customer interviews to keep messaging grounded in what's actually true for buyers.
- Weigh in on how customer communications get segmented across the lifecycle, who hears what, and when.
Product Launches, Start to Finish- Keep a pulse on roadmap prioritization by business unit so your messaging never lags the plan.
- Contribute to GTM launch coordination across Product, Sales, Success, and Support.
- Weigh in on the launch package handoff to Marketing before anything ships.
- Contribute the product marketing narrative to company-wide all-hands announcements.
Content & Asset Production- Write the internal FAQ and talking points for every release.
- Own the release email: write it, build it, ship it.
- Own product webinars and launch events end to end, content, slides, and delivery.
- Write and build the one-sheeter and release notes for every launch.
- Script, record, and edit the internal demo video and the customer-facing video.
- Write the blog post and build the content assets for every major release.
- Keep the website, sales decks, and marketing collateral current with every release.
Sales, Success & Partner EnablementMake sure the people selling and supporting the release are saying what you actually shipped.
- Stay looped into CSM and Sales enablement sessions so reps are working from your messaging, not their own interpretation of it.
- Bring a specific, honest read on what worked and what didn't to every post-launch retro.
You Must Have- 4+ years in product marketing, content marketing, or a hybrid marketing/creative role, ideally at a B2B SaaS company.
- Experience owning competitive intelligence, win/loss analysis, or buyer persona work, not just writing per-release talking points.
- A portfolio that shows both sides of this job: messaging and positioning work, alongside finished assets you actually built, videos you edited, graphics you designed, pages you shipped. We're looking for candidates who love showing their hands-on craft alongside their strategic thinking.
- Hands-on comfort in design and video tools: Figma, Canva, Claude, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere, VEED, or Descript. You should be able to open one tomorrow and produce something usable.
- Strong copywriting instincts and the range to shift tone across email, web, sales decks, and video scripts. You should be able to write strong copy with just you and a keyboard.
- Real experience owning a launch start to finish, including project management, messaging, and assets.
- Solid project management chops; you can run multiple launches at once without dropping a ball.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Bonus: you know the nonprofit sector or fundraising technology.
