Job Overview
This role is responsible for managing technical products that support Accounting and Finance business objectives while meeting customer and operational needs. The Product Manager, Technical owns product planning, prioritization, and delivery by balancing customer insights, technical feasibility, compliance requirements, and business goals. The role partners closely with Accounting, Finance, Engineering, and Technology teams to deliver scalable solutions that improve reporting, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes. Success is measured through product performance, stakeholder satisfaction, and delivery of high-quality technology solutions. This position enables cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products that support business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for intake processes into the DevOps Accounting Technology teams.


  • Partner with business stakeholders to assess customer experiences, identify opportunities, and ideate on reporting and analytics solutions.


  • Define and evangelize a strong customer-first focus, aligning decision-making with IT investment choices and prioritization.


  • Partner with development teams and stakeholders to create, publish, and communicate release schedules.


  • Communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal form, with the ability to influence across technical and business groups.


  • Facilitate discussions and help resolve conflicting issues between individuals and teams.


Technology & Solution Delivery

  • Collaborate with business partners to identify initiative scope, benefits, and ROI.


  • Manage the end-to-end solution space, including technical, functional, process, and accounting policy considerations.


  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant technology trends and industry best practices.


  • Develop and communicate a clear perspective on complex technical topics, aligning both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


  • Contribute to functional and technical design, ensuring technical debt and long-term investments are factored into the roadmap.


  • Oversee capacity and work planning across functional and technical teams.


  • Collect and manage metrics to measure product success and customer experience improvements.


  • Develop executive-level materials that articulate product vision, capability maps, and influence leadership prioritization.


Product Ownership & Roadmap

  • Own technology product(s) end-to-end, including roadmap development and execution.


  • Lead and manage the product backlog, partnering with business and technology teams to ensure alignment.


  • Facilitate backlog grooming sessions and maintain at least two iterations (sprints) worth of user stories.


  • Contribute to quarterly Program Increment (PI) Planning activities.


  • Evaluate new trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and roadmap enhancement.


Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years related experience OR Advanced Degree plus 3 years related experience. Preferred areas of study: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related technical discipline

Experience

Required

  • 5+ years Product Management experience within Agile software development environments.


  • 3+ years hands-on technical experience including software development, solution engineering, technical analysis, or technical architecture.


Preferred

  • Experience supporting Accounting, Finance, or enterprise reporting platforms.


  • Experience working with Azure cloud technologies, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake, SQL, and/or Python.


  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, SDLC, and Agile delivery practices.


  • Experience using product metrics and data visualization tools to support prioritization and decision making.


  • Practical experience leveraging GenAI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Microsoft Copilot) to improve documentation, analysis, or product workflows.

Base Pay Range: $103,400 - $186,400

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
