Job Description:

This job is responsible for maximizing the value for one or more products. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with product owners or specialists to ensure they are aligning on priorities. Job expectations include ensuring delivery of products that meet client expectations, including features, security, availability, resiliency, timelines and costs.

The Product Manager role within the Business Architecture and Horizontal Product Management team is responsible for maximizing the value for one or more products, at the program level in a scaled Agile model. This includes defining and refining the detailed epic level requirements, closely working with stakeholders and aligning priorities with Product Owners running their respective scrum teams. Product managers are expected to be knowledgeable of all strategic horizontal capabilities managed within the team to drive cross team collaboration where needed, including workflow, document management, correspondence, eSign, eForms, content management and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Generates the vision and roadmap for the program based on customer requirements, industry trends, regulations, and the strategic direction for the business or technology domain
  • Communicates the program vision and roadmap to stakeholders, product owners and the teams
  • Oversees the budget(s) for one or more products by working closely with finance partners on both personnel and non-personnel expenses
  • Provides input into defining business capabilities and aligning them to products or creating new products to support them
  • Ensures product availability by partnering closely with demand and capacity teammates
  • Develops business cases for new products and additional features for existing products
  • Partners with the product owners and the teams to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and subject-matter expertise and understanding of the business and industry trends

Required Skills:
• 5+ years relevant work experience with business and technology projects including process improvement/re-engineering and technology change efforts
• Knowledge of project tools (JIRA experience preferred)
• Responsible for maximizing the value for one or more products, at the program level in a scaled Agile model.
• Experience with and knowledge of Agile project management methodology
• Process design oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to facilitate meetings, capture key outcomes/actions and own product documentation
• Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and in Visio
• Strong decision making skills with an assertive and proactive communication style
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and active listening skills
• Must be proficient in data management to include strong data analytic capability
• Must have strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks
