Full Job Description
The OTAVA Product Manager will oversee the strategy, development, and execution of Private Cloud solutions. This role involves managing the full product lifecycle from concept to launch, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that OTAVA's solutions meet market demands and deliver exceptional customer value. The position can be based remotely or at any OTAVA location.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of private cloud service products deployed on premises or hosted in Otava's data centers.
  • Define product vision, market positioning, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies.
  • Gather and prioritize business and customer requirements and translate them into high-impact product roadmaps.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, marketing, sales, and finance to bring products to market successfully, on time, and within budget.
  • Drive ongoing product enhancements based on performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Oversee cost optimization and profitability for assigned services.
  • Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert and advocate for assigned products, including leading webinars, writing position papers, and delivering presentations.
  • Develop comprehensive product documentation such as service descriptions, operations guides, sales collateral, and training materials.
  • Coordinate product launch and training activities across internal teams.
  • Analyze customer and market data to inform product decisions and align offerings with emerging needs.
  • Ensure services are secure, scalable, and aligned with OTAVA's strategic direction.


Experience

  • 3+ years in product management in the field of Cloud Computing or IT infrastructure.
  • 1+ years managing a virtualization product, a hyperconverged infrastructure product, or corresponding managed services.
  • Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions, colocation services, and infrastructure operations.
  • Familiarity with a public cloud platform (e.g., Azure) is a plus.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and technical product launches.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to define and drive initiatives independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including presenting to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong business acumen in pricing, forecasting, and go-to-market strategy.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer networking, information technology, or related field.


License or Certification (willing to complete in established timeframe)

  • Product Management certification is a plus.
  • VMware VCP certification is a plus.
