Take your next career step with Royal Switchgear Manufacturing (a Maclean Power Systems Company), a leader in engineering, design, and manufacturing of critical electrical infrastructure solutions. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Product Manager who is responsible for develop and execute comprehensive product line roadmaps to achieve fiscal performance goals. The successful candidate will be a results-oriented team player with strong analytical skills, a process improvement mindset, detail orientation, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Location: Onsite - Bessemer, Alabama; Occasional Travel

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute comprehensive product line roadmaps to achieve fiscal performance goals.
  • Collaborate with customers, sales teams, application engineers, and design engineers to align deliverables with customer expectations.
  • Conduct regular engagements with end-users to assess product requirements and market-driven price levels.
  • Design and implement go-to-market strategies, including marketing and pricing initiatives, to enhance product visibility and competitiveness.
  • Provide technical solutions to meet client and customer needs while ensuring the adoption of advanced technologies.
  • Ensure all reported technical issues are resolved promptly and in compliance with organizational standards.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and oversee adaptations to address user requirements effectively.
  • Develop and implement policies for technical training for both clients and internal stakeholders, as necessary.
  • Prepare and complete all required documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Adhere to 5S standards by maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Undertake additional duties assigned to support organizational objective.

What You'll Need to Excel in This Role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of concepts and principles within the field.
  • Proven ability to perform complex tasks, typically following established processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities with full authority for personnel decisions.
  • Familiarity with departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline (required).
  • MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred, along with commercial experience in a technical environment.
  • Experience with the electrical transmission or distribution utility market is highly preferred.

  • Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including preparing and presenting information
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed as needed
  • WMS experience and knowledge preferred
  • ERP system knowledge (JD Edwards preferred)
