Full Job Description
The Role

We're looking for a Product Manager who brings deep retail domain knowledge and genuine AI curiosity. This isn't a role for someone who wants to manage a backlog and write specs. The PM function at ReFiBuy is evolving - from defining what to build, to actively shaping how AI agents help us build it faster.

You'll work on product challenges at the heart of how brands and retailers manage, structure, and distribute product data across major retail relationships. You understand how catalog operations break down in practice, and you see clearly how AI can fix what's always been broken.
What You'll Do
  • Own product areas that sit at the intersection of catalog quality, retailer requirements, and AI-driven automation.
  • Translate complex retailer and brand workflows into product decisions - you know where the friction lives and why it's hard to fix.
  • Work directly with engineering and AI teams to design workflows that reduce the manual overhead of catalog operations.
  • Partner with customers to understand where their product data operations break down and bring those insights back into the product.
  • Use AI tools actively in your own workflow - prototyping, researching, analyzing. We want someone leaning into what's possible, not waiting for a playbook.
  • Move fluidly between strategy and execution: write the brief, review the build, validate the output.

What we're looking for...
  • 5+ years in product management, with meaningful experience shipping product in B2B ecommerce, retail tech, or commerce platform environments.
  • Deep, hands-on familiarity with how brands and retailers manage product catalogs across major retail relationships - including the setup, attribution, and content compliance requirements that come with 1P partnerships.
  • You've worked closely with teams managing large, complex product catalogs. You understand SKU-level data quality problems and their downstream consequences.
  • Genuine AI curiosity - you're actively experimenting with AI tools, thinking about how they change the PM role, and excited by what becomes possible when you lean in.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment where the roadmap is shaped by evidence and judgment, not committee.
  • Strong written communication. You can make a complex requirement readable and a difficult product decision defensible.

Nice to Haves
  • Experience with PIM systems, MDM Platforms, or product data syndication tools.
  • Prior experience at a marketplace, retailer, or commerce platform
  • Familiarity with AI product development- not required, but a foundation we will help you build.
  • Comfort working directly with data, APIs, or lightweight tooling to explore a problem firsthand.

How we work

Builder culture 12 fast iterations, small specs, daily deploys, trunk-based development. We're in the office because the best work happens at a whiteboard with the team you're shipping with. Fewer meetings, more co-creation.

Ready to build?

If this sounds like your kind of room - small team, big ambitions, AI-native from the floorboards up - send us your resume and a few links to things you've shipped. We read everything.

That's it for now. Looking forward to meeting you.
