Full Job Description
In this role, you will lead the strategy, profitability, and long-term growth of the Hoffman North American Commercial product portfolio. You will serve as the business leader for your product categories, partnering with customers, channel partners, sales, engineering, marketing, and operations to identify growth opportunities, bring new products to market, and optimize portfolio performance throughout the product lifecycle.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE:
Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
  • Develop and implement product strategies and roadmaps that support growth, profitability, and market leadership.
  • Use customer insights, market research, competitive intelligence, and financial performance data to guide investment and portfolio decisions.
  • Find opportunities for portfolio expansion, rationalization, and new product development.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to align priorities and deliver business results.
Commercial Growth & Channel Strategy
  • Drive revenue and margin growth by developing effective pricing, positioning, channel, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Partner with distributors, manufacturers' representatives, sales teams, contractors, designers, and end users to identify market opportunities and improve customer adoption.
  • Build business cases and strategic recommendations that strengthen portfolio performance and market position.
Product Launch & Lifecycle Management
  • Lead new product introductions from concept through commercialization.
  • Own launch planning, sales enablement, channel readiness, product positioning, and commercialization activities.
  • Lead the full product lifecycle, including development, growth, maturity, rationalization, and obsolescence.
  • Track performance metrics and implement initiatives that improve revenue, profitability, customer experience, quality, and delivery.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, new technologies, and competitive activity.
  • Find opportunities across key growth markets including industrial automation, utilities, clean energy sectors, and data center facilities.
  • Evaluate partnership, acquisition, and private-label opportunities that support portfolio growth.

YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a comparable area of study.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, category management, program management, or a related commercial leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success leading product strategy, commercialization, pricing, and portfolio performance.
  • Experience working with distribution channels, direct sales organizations, or manufacturers' representatives preferred.
  • Exposure to industrial automation, electrical contractor, utility, or related industrial markets preferred.
  • MBA Preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:
$105,000.00 - $195,000.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
