Position Summary

The Product Manager – Mental Health Parity is responsible for supporting the organization’s Mental Health Parity program, with a focus on Non-Quantitative Treatment Limitations (NQTLs). This role will partner across Legal, Compliance, Sales, Account Management, Product and Operations to manage non-regulatory parity-related requests from clients and brokers, maintain client facing NQTL documentation, and drive reporting and process improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key resource for Mental Health Parity and NQTL-related sales and client questions.
  • Manage and monitor the Parity Response Unit (PRU) mailbox, responding to inquiries and coordinating with subject matter experts.
  • Support RFP activities by providing parity-related information and documentation.
  • Coordinate and fulfill standard NQTL requests from clients, consultants, brokers, and internal teams.
  • Maintain NQTL templates, documentation, intake processes, and annual updates.
  • Provide and maintain tracking of NQTL activity, including trends and request volume.
  • Track third-party parity client relationships and support parity-related projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in managing high-touch and non-standard client requests, including customized benefits and contract language reviews.
  • Maintain records of client-specific parity requirements and support annual follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate client discovery efforts and support client-specific reporting needs.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years health plan or health benefits industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Parity and/or Compliance or Regulatory experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting RFPs, sales organizations, or client-facing teams is a plus.
  • Robust project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and sales/client-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional business, legal, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Understanding of health plan medical and behavioral benefits, client renewal cycles, client contracts, and sales proposal processes


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 113,200 - 188,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
