Job Purpose

Great Minds was built on a restless conviction: that every student deserves nothing less than our best, and that the status quo in curriculum has never been good enough. We're looking for a Product Manager to help develop and execute the full lifecycle of our core Math product line to ensure it aligns to Great Minds' mission of serving all students with high-quality, knowledge building, instructional materials. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product, you'll serve as the voice of the customer by bringing market research, user insights, and data-driven analysis to shape roadmap, scope, pricing, and go-to-market strategy. This is a role for a product leader who believes that coherence isn't a feature, it's a philosophy. The ideal candidate brings deep experience building and leading high-performing teams in K-12 math education, a track record of driving complex product portfolios from strategy through delivery, and an unwavering belief that every child is capable of greatness. This leader thrives in a mission-driven environment where urgency, rigor, and accountability are the standard.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the content and research teams to reflect the instructional research and the math instructional model in the product design and development process.
  • Execute end-to-end product lifecycle activities including: market research, competitive analysis, product strategy and design, scope and roadmap development, pricing, and launch.
  • Collaborate with the Content team to develop and execute product strategy related to state adoptions, pricing bundles, sampling, and open territory/large-district opportunities for a product.
  • Conduct user interviews and coordinate user and classroom testing to validate product decisions.
  • Synthesize customer feedback, product analytics, and competitive market data into clear prioritization recommendations.
  • Monitor the P&L for your product line and surface risks and remedies to leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Content, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Design, and Operations to keep vision and execution aligned.
  • Conceptualize and quantify product vision, including research, market mapping, competitive analysis, market opportunity, and strategic development.
  • Provide oversight and ensure alignment between the instructional philosophy, content development and Great Minds' digital platform in the delivery of features and customer experience.
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues within your projects that may impair the organization's ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Own post-launch performance of your products, including adoption, usage, performance, retention, and renewal metrics.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience working in education publishing with a track record of success in product development, digital product management, curriculum development and/or project management, preferably in the K-12 education market
  • Deep respect for and alignment to the philosophy, instructional design, and pedagogy of Great Minds' knowledge-building vision
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including customers, sales team, content development teams, product marketing, and senior leadership that require a sophisticated level of sensitivity and excellent judgment
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills to anticipate challenges, issues, or opportunities
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to think about ROI, strategic pricing, and the potential value of ideas to help the team prioritize where and how to spend limited resources
  • Deep belief that every child is capable of greatness
