Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management, or a related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 1 year of experience in technical leadership.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

GBO Engineering is an embedded product and engineering team within Google's Ad sales organization (Global Business and Operations). We build consumer-grade internal tooling for sales, marketing and service teams.

Our cross-functional team of Engineers, Designers and Product Managers is responsible for internal platforms that support sales and marketing teams to run events, deliver professional services, manage commercial agreements with ads customers and transform our go-to-market readiness with learning and development technology. These tools are part of a cohesive suite of internal platforms that power the day-to-day workflows of Googlers in sales and marketing to meaningfully drive business outcomes.

Learning Platforms is a team within GBO Engineering whose mission is to reimagine how Google sales and business teams learn and develop skills to do their work.

The Global Business Organization (GBO) is the engine that powers Google's full ecosystem of products and services to help customers and partners succeed and grow. GBO includes the commercial arms of Ads sellers, business development teams, and customer services and support, as well as overlay programs that enable coordinated engagement with Google's most complex and important customers and partners.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
  • Own and articulate a compelling first-party product outlook as part of a larger platform and suite of products to transform how Google Ads business teams sell by learning new skills and product knowledge to close agreements and drive business outcomes.
  • Drive product designs, launches, and monitor successful landing through effective go-to-market and measurable success metrics aligned to business goals.
  • Take overall responsibility for a large open-ended problem space, bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to prioritize resources and develop compelling investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely and strategically with partner teams across Sales, L&D, GTM, Sales and Ads/GBO Engineering.
  • Build trust, align on product priorities, roadmap and represent GBO Engineering in stakeholder forums.
