Full Job Description

NOTE: This role is Hybrid and requires 3 days a week onsite in our Walnut Creek, CA office.

Our Product Manager IV, Salesforce reports to the Manager of Technical Product Management for Strategic Initiatives in the AAA MWG Strategy Division.

The Product Manager IV leads responsibility for products in multiple lines of business including managing, providing guidance, mentorship and coaching to other product managers. Additionally, the Product Manager IV recommends industry best practices and executes established product strategy to assigned areas of work or projects.

In this key role, you will shape the evolution of the enterprise Salesforce Marketing stack and the value it brings to our Members and the organization. You will act as a strategic functional leader and a bridge between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams. You will be involved in strategic marketing Salesforce programs and work on, lead or influence various tasks such as requirements gathering, solution design, data validation, configuration, testing, training, and post-implementation support.

Also, this position emphasizes building strong business relationships, translating business strategies into product capabilities, and leading functional implementations across Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and AI-driven innovations.


Essential Functions

  • Serve as the business functional subject matter expert (SME) for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and related solutions.

  • Lead product discovery and requirement-gathering sessions. Translate complex business needs into functional requirements, user journeys, and high-level platform solution designs. Inform the Salesforce Marketing roadmap.

  • Defines and delivers product strategy and product roadmap for assigned business, systems or application products

  • Proposes and recommends goals, metrics and objectives for online products, applications or systems, and plans assigned projects to help achieve department goals

  • Participate in and support marketing stakeholders through user acceptance test planning and execution, data validation, and ensuring Salesforce cloud configuration meets business needs.

  • Oversee functional capabilities across the Marketing Salesforce platform, with a strong focus on guiding implementations involving Salesforce Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud.

  • Drive the strategy and functional rollout of Salesforce AI capabilities (e.g., Agentforce Marketing, predictive analytics) to enhance user productivity, customer engagement, and business insights.

  • Configure Users, Profiles and Role Creation/Maintenance, Custom and Formula Fields, Validation Rules, and Process Builder.

  • Leads in making recommended changes to policies, guidelines, internal initiatives that address system or application evolution and product innovation

  • Possesses a business, results-oriented and Agile mind-set when problem solving, developing recommendations, conducting analyses and developing presentations

  • Demonstrated skills and abilities to model, communicate, work and thrive in a collaborative work environment using Agile principles and practice

  • Demonstrated business communications skills (verbal, written, interpersonal, influencing and negotiations)

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of management principles and practices

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of enterprise applications, systems or products

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Acts as point of contact for the relationship with business and technology partners to gather and understand requirements and to deliver product roadmap.

  • Proven track record in product strategy, roadmap creation, backlog prioritization, ROI analysis, and user story mapping.

  • Significant, demonstrated hands-on experience and completion of full Salesforce Marketing stack projects from initiation to delivery and support.

  • Strong knowledge of digital and product marketing, with strong marketing data acumen.

  • Strong functional expertise in Salesforce Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud implementation.

  • Exceptional ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, manage expectations, and act as a strategic partner across enterprise business units.

  • Ability to provide Salesforce administration support as needed.

  • Ability to think critically, solve problems, make decisions and build trust across the organization

  • Works actively with the business and team to resolve issues

  • Exercises discretion in determining priorities and the best methods to use when directing team efforts and resolving product design or enhancement challenges

  • Provides research or develops options, and makes recommendations to effectively address design and enhancement issues

  • Integrates work schedules and collaborates with engineers

  • Experience developing and executing innovative strategic plans

Education & Experience/Licenses & Certification

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline

  • 12+ years of product or content management experience or an equivalent combination of equivalent education and experience.

  • Experience related directly to technical product management, Salesforce administration knowledge and experience including data load, user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, Data validations and other routine tasks.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Agile principles and practice

  • Five years as a technical lead, supervisor or manager where influencing, coaching, guiding and mentoring other employees was a major component of the job

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, cloud technologies and implementations

  • Salesforce integration experience preferred, including between different business systems as well as working with integration tools.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant or Marketing Cloud Consultant (Required)

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator (Preferred)

We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min: $135,158.00 - Mid: $193,080.00
