Full Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE:

The Product Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, governance, and ongoing management of the Integrated Management System (IMS) & Shoretime applications. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and system vendors to ensure the platform delivers business value, supports operational objectives, and complies with organizational and regulatory requirements. The Product Manager drives product enhancements, manages the product backlog and roadmap, coordinates system releases and support activities, and promotes continuous improvement to optimize system performance and user experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the IMS product strategy, roadmap, and backlog, prioritizing enhancements based on business value, operational needs, technical considerations, compliance requirements, and available capacity.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and the IMS vendor, translating business requirements into functional solutions and ensuring alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Gather, document, and manage business requirements, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria while maintaining traceability between requirements and delivered solutions.
  • Coordinate system releases, user acceptance testing (UAT), production support, and incident management to ensure timely issue resolution, successful deployments, and high-quality system performance.
  • Support data governance, system configuration, compliance, and audit activities by maintaining product documentation, ensuring data integrity, and adhering to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to communicate product priorities, release plans, risks, system performance, and key metrics while driving effective decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance the IMS platform, improve operational efficiency, reduce manual processes, and optimize the user experience.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Destination Services and the Shoretime development team, leading recurring status meetings to review enhancement progress, prioritize requirements, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a governance process for the Shoretime platform by facilitating quarterly reviews with Destination Services leadership to evaluate system performance, gather stakeholder feedback, prioritize enhancement requests, and align the product roadmap with business needs.
  • Coordinate and oversee end-user training activities by partnering with the Shoretime development team to develop training materials, schedule training sessions, and support user adoption of new functionality and system enhancements.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts for system releases by coordinating testing activities with business stakeholders, defining test scope and success criteria, tracking defects and feedback, and obtaining business approval prior to production deployment.
  • Act as the business owner for enhancement releases, ensuring requirements, testing, training, communication, and deployment activities are completed to support successful delivery and adoption of new platform capabilities.
  • Facilitate demos to senior stakeholders as needed to serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Assist with project reporting and status presentations for leadership.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

The Product Manager serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT resources, and external vendors, balancing business priorities, technical constraints, and compliance requirements to ensure the applications deliver operational value. The role is responsible for prioritizing the product backlog, defining business requirements, coordinating system enhancements, releases, testing, and production support, while escalating significant risks, resource needs, or strategic decisions to leadership as appropriate. The position recommends improvements to business processes, product governance, and system-related procedures but operates within established organizational policies and technology standards. The Product Manager collaborates regularly with cross-functional business teams, IT, executive leadership, auditors, and external vendors to drive product strategy, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or other related field of study; or any combination of relevant work experience and education.

EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience in the product management space in the role of Agile Product Manager, Experience with cruise, and travel industry or enterprise data warehouse a plus
