PRODUCT MANAGER III- Small BusinessWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Product Manager role is responsible for driving the development and lifecycle management of non-interest-bearing deposit banking products for U.S. consumers and small businesses. This role focuses on executing strategic initiatives, tracking key metrics, managing the product backlog, resolving client and operational issues, and ensuring risk and compliance controls to maximize product success and client satisfaction.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Drive the product roadmap by defining priorities, features, and enhancements aligned with business goals.
- Track key metrics (e.g., applications, balances, client retention) to inform data-driven decisions and improvements.
- Client and Sales Colleague Research: Conduct primary research (interviews, surveys) to inform the product roadmap.
- Competitive Intelligence: Conduct secondary research to understand what good looks like at other banks and fintechs in the market; track unmet market needs that can be met by the bank.
- Partner Capability & Roadmap Intelligence: Meet regularly with vendors to understand current and new offerings available to the bank.
- Fintech Landscape: Attend meetings with potential fintech partners whose solutions the bank is exploring.
- Lead issue resolution for client inquiries and operational challenges, collaborating with Relationship Managers and Operations teams.
- Remediate critical issues and implement process improvements to enhance client experience.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., FDIC, OCC).
- Maintain compliance documentation and controls for audits.
- Create compelling presentations to communicate strategies, performance, and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Drive alignment across Sales, Technology, and Business Managers to deliver product objectives.
- Identify inefficiencies in product workflows and implement solutions to streamline operations.
- Define product requirements (e.g., BRDs) and coordinate delivery with engineering and operations teams.
- Monitor progress and escalate risks to ensure timely execution.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in banking product management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Small Business lending and deposit products.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing medium to large projects required.
Additional Qualifications- Proven ability to drive product strategy and execute complex initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of banking products (deposit, loans, branch services) and U.S. regulatory environment.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in metrics tracking and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel) and Agile methodologies
- Cash/Treasury product and deposit product experience a plus
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?CompensationStarting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
