Job Title: Product Manager II, Fanless Embedded Computers

Location(s): Irvine, CA - Onsite

Compensation: $86,500 - $108,000 Exempt (Salaried) + Bonus

About this position:

Advantech is seeking a Product Manager to lead strategic initiatives and support project inquiries for our embedded product lines. This role will focus on developing localized go-to-market (GTM) strategies by identifying customer needs and pain points to drive engagement with both sales teams and end customers. The Product Manager will actively support project opportunities to help secure deals, collaborating closely with local partners and customers to foster business and solution alignment. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective product positioning, demand generation, and overall business growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and develop localized strategies for Advantech's embedded product lines (https://www.advantech.com/en-us/embedded-boards-design-in-services), focusing on selected products and collaborating with product managers and marketing teams to consolidate product promotion and planning efforts.
  • Support project management activities, including product specification clarification, proposal preparation, quotation definition, meeting facilitation, and progress tracking.
  • Define and execute product promotional strategies, including online and offline marketing plans, internal training sessions, webinars, and collaboration with sales teams, partners, or customers.
  • Establish, manage, and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners to ensure long-term collaboration and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including application engineers, supply chain, procurement, quality control, and manufacturing, to ensure timely project development.
  • Manage product phase-in and phase-out processes, including announcements, documentation updates, and database maintenance.
  • Address product and project-related quality issues by collaborating with the quality department, HQ product teams, and engineering teams to resolve any challenges effectively.
  • Communicate with overseas counterparts (Taiwan/China) regarding product and project-related action items, which may require occasional late-hour meetings.
  • Business travel may be required for events or customer visits (approximately 10-15% travel per year).

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, project management, or product engineering within the PC industry or related fields.
  • A solid understanding of computer hardware is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong teamwork abilities, with a proactive mindset and the ability to execute tasks efficiently and independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams and with stakeholders.
