Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience developing or launching products or technologies within Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning (AI/ML).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 1 year of experience in technical leadership.

In this role, you will drive the goals, infrastructure, and execution for Gemini in Chrome to operate as a continuous, autonomous agent, building the foundation that allows Gemini to run persistently in the background and execute complex tasks safely.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale the core infrastructure enabling continuous, stateful agent operations, background task scheduling, and proactive execution.
  • Expand agent action capabilities by developing secure integrations with browser controls, system-level APIs, and local environments.
  • Drive the creation of specialized, multi-step evaluation frameworks and infrastructure to test reasoning, tool usage, and web actuation quality.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, user experience (UX), and partner teams to translate product requirements into clear team goals and execution plans.
