Navops enables intelligent cloud resource orchestration in environments integrated with workload managers (WLMs), supporting dynamic scaling across Siemens solutions such as Grid Engine, PBS Professional, and Velocity, as well as selected third-party platforms. The product supports hybrid and cloud-native deployment models, is built on a containerized microservices architecture, and is deployed in Docker, k3s, and Kubernetes environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and OpenStack-based public and private clouds.
In this role, you will define product strategy, prioritize investment, and work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to address complex cloud orchestration challenges. Success requires a strong understanding of end-to-end HPC workflows, the broader infrastructure ecosystem, and the ability to identify underlying customer requirements in sophisticated enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities- Define product vision and roadmap for HPCWorks Navops in alignment with customer needs, Siemens HPC strategy, and market direction.
- Drive ecosystem integration strategy across workload managers, schedulers, and adjacent platforms, including Siemens solutions and selected third-party technologies.
- Guide product evolution for hybrid, on-premises, and cloud-native deployment models with a focus on scalable, workload-driven cloud bursting and orchestration.
- Translate customer workflows into product direction by understanding the lifecycle from workload submission and scheduling through provisioning, execution, and elastic scaling.
- Lead customer and stakeholder engagement to uncover business priorities, operational challenges, and technical requirements in complex environments.
- Partner cross functionally with engineering, architecture, QA, support, sales, consulting, marketing, and training to deliver capabilities from concept through adoption.
- Support go-to-market alignment by clearly articulating product value, roadmap priorities, and target use cases to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends across HPC, workload management, Kubernetes, OpenStack, cloud orchestration, and emerging infrastructure models to maintain product relevance and competitiveness.
Qualifications- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of product management experience with complex software products in HPC, cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, or technical computing.
- Strong understanding of HPC and batch computing workflows, including workload managers or schedulers such as PBS Professional, Grid Engine, SLURM, LSF, or comparable platforms.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud and cloud-native infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and OpenStack environments.
- Experience with containerized deployment models, including Docker, k3s, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to engage in discussions around resource orchestration, automation, dynamic scaling, and policy-based provisioning in distributed environments.
- Strong technical credibility and the ability to work closely with engineering teams on architecture, integration, and customer requirements.
- Demonstrated customer engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex and ambiguous requirements into clear product direction.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to connect product strategy with business opportunity, customer value, and sustainable revenue growth.
Preferred Experience
- Product Management experience balancing customer requirements, technical feasibility, and commercial objectives to drive product adoption, differentiation, and sustainable growth.
- Experience with Siemens or Altair HPC solutions, or related products in cloud bursting, workload automation, or resource orchestration.
- Familiarity with HPCWorks Navops or similar solutions for HPC cloud resource management and scheduler-integrated scaling.
- Understanding of demand-driven elastic compute environments and infrastructure policy controls.
- Experience with multi-scheduler environments spanning traditional HPC systems and modern cloud-native platforms.
- Exposure to Kubernetes ecosystem tooling and evolving approaches for batch and HPC workloads on container platforms.
- Background supporting customers in scientific computing, engineering simulation, semiconductor, manufacturing, or other compute-intensive industries.
- Experience with products deployed across public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid environments.
