Product Manager, Horizon -Carmel, IN-Remote, US or Cincinnati, OH-Remote, USNOTE: The ideal candidate would be located near the Carmel, IN Office or Cincinnati, OH HM Facility, but Allegion is open for a candidate to work remote if they are willing to travel when needed.Role DefinitionThe Product Manager, Horizon plays a key role in supporting the software platforms
that make up the Horizon initiative. The Product Manager, Horizon is responsible for executing the product life cycle management the follows the Horizon LRP. They will use their strong leadership and communication ability, analytical skills, and business acumen to maximize the growth, revenue, and performance of the portfolio.
The Product Manager, Horizon leads the lifecycle management of internal and external Order Management tools across the Horizon portfolio by partnering with stakeholders to:
- Help eliminate or automate redundant, repetitive work
- Enable user self-service and exception-only company support
- Standardize and harmonize product and customer data
What You Will Do:- Coordinate efforts and adoption of specific software products that make up the Horizon initiative (Including not limited to OEW, EQuote, NOW (New OeW))
- Assist with gathering business requirements to support integration efforts for M&A companies
- Manage the product lifecycle from identifying customer outcomes through business impact, and contribute the product strategy and tactical decisions to maximize the value of that continuous lifecycle
- Work with Hollow Metal customers to identify targeted customers' relevant wants and needs
- Partner with design and development teams to identify and create solutions and rank product features to meet intended customer outcomes within a specific product portfolio
- Use in-depth knowledge and experience of the Horizon portfolio to maintain business continuity
- Perform the following responsibilities for specific software product feature releases, partnering with the delivery team:
- Determine specific activities in the delivery method required, prioritize release schedule and what items are to be included in each release, making decisions on competing ideas or resources
- Create and refine user stories
- Develop acceptance criteria, ensuring user acceptance testing processes are defined, implemented, and adhered to prior to release, including testing to ensure design elements meet the user requirements
- Communicate product feature releases and backlog items with the relevant cross-functional groups at the appropriate times
- Understand customers' quality expectations, including issues they see in the current environment with respect to usability, reliability, security, and data integrity while defining training and support requirements
- Manage the feature roadmap portfolio with a common approach to build consensus and link to the development environment
- Utilize best practices to support the integration of common source components versus building duplicate functionalities
What You Need to Succeed:Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or Technical field
- 5 - 10 years combined experience in product management, marketing, business, or customer service, including software implementation or product ownership
- Experience translating business requirements into opportunities for software development application, partnering with software development, and delivering software products using Agile methodology;
- Scrum certification
- Experience in the access control or door hardware field
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse range of external customers and internal stakeholders: architects, facility owners/managers, general contractors, distribution partners, installation and security consultant personnel, specification writers, sales personnel, engineering, marketing, and finance
- Translate customer and channel needs into actionable backlog items and support the execution of portfolio roadmaps.
- Proven strategic planning ability, project management skills, and track record of supporting profitable business growth
- Support customer experience design and execution by gathering feedback and communicating with stakeholders to close the loop.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, integrate, and execute product solutions within a business
- Strong business and financial acumen (price positioning, product margin, business cases, adoption strategy, channel management, etc.)
Compensation
This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. The salary range is 105-160K.
The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
