Full Job Description
Harmar Mobility is looking for an experienced, hands-on Product Manager to lead and grow our portfolio of mobility and accessibility products. This role is ideal for someone who understands manufactured products, enjoys working across departments, and can translate customer and market needs into successful product strategies. You will totally own product performance, including the P&L throughout the lifecycle-from identifying market opportunities and developing business cases to supporting new product development, commercialization, pricing, and ongoing product improvements. What You'll Do • Manage the performance, profitability, and long-term strategy of assigned product lines. • Identify and prioritize new products, features/advantages/benefits, and product improvement opportunities. • Develop customer requirements, product charters, and research-based business plans for new product development initiatives. • Participate in voice of the customer activities and research programs • Help lead key new product development, including concept, prototype, pilot production, product launches, and customer feedback with various support teams • Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Tech Service to move product initiatives forward. • Monitor customer satisfaction, warranty activity, product quality, pricing, costs, market share, and competitive activity. • Create and maintain product performance dashboards and recommend corrective actions when needed. • Partner with Quality and Operations to address customer complaints and product performance concerns. • Analyze competitive pricing and establish product pricing recommendations that support Harmar's business objectives. • Fully own lifecyle process of assigned products from cradle to grave. • Support the SIOP process by developing short and long-range forecasts by product, channel, and average selling price. • Develop product content and positioning in partnership with Marketing. • Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, regulatory requirements, and competitive developments. • Travel up to 10% to meet with customers, dealers, and partners. Requirements What We're Looking For • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. • Five or more years of experience in product management, product development, sales, or marketing. • Demonstrated experience in new product development initiatives. • Product management experience within a manufacturing environment. • Full understanding of drivers of profit/loss management • Experience marketing and selling products through distributors or multiple sales channels. • Experience in HME/DME, durable consumer goods, equipment, mobility products, or a related industry is strongly preferred. • Strong business judgment with the ability to analyze product performance, pricing, costs, customer feedback, and market data. • A collaborative, hands-on approach and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without relying on direct authority. • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
