Position Summary:

The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for marketing and managing the GST portfolio, especially the Far More® vegetable seed treatment platform, including current products, new product introductions, and the development of organic and biological seed treatment offerings. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in marketing and/or sales within crop protection, vegetable seeds, or seed treatment, with a strong understanding of strategic marketing principles including positioning, segmentation, and value drivers. The PM plays a key role in developing marketing plans, managing pricing strategy, and educating the sales team. This role requires collaboration across supply chain, development, regulatory, and sales teams to ensure successful execution of product plans.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop short-,medium-,and long-term marketing plans for Far More products, including product positioning, segmentation, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead the annual pricing strategy and price review process, analyzing market conditions, competitive pricing, margin structures across the value chain, and customer feedback.
  • Conduct yearly market analysis covering crop segments, competitive landscape, breeder and treater trends, and grower needs.
  • Manage marketing activities including product positioning and communication strategies (advertising and PR).
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, supply chain, development, regulatory) to execute marketing and product plans.
  • Educate sales teams on market differentiation, product positioning, and brand benefits.
  • Ensure product profitability and manage the overall profit contribution for GST products.
  • Participate in third-party meetings with breeders, treaters, dealers, and researchers to provide marketing input and gather market intelligence.
  • Build company-wide commitment to product plans through collaboration with sales and field development teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Agronomy, or related field required.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience / Skills / Abilities:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing and/or sales within crop protection, vegetable seeds, or seed treatment industries.
  • Strong understanding of seed treatment and vegetable seed pricing structures and value chain margins (breeder to treater to dealer to grower).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; able to build pricing models, conduct market analysis, and produce professional presentations independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with project analysis, costing, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of market strategy, segmentation, and positioning.
  • Comfortable presenting to different audience sizes.
  • Experience in launching new products or introducing novel product categories (organic, biological, or specialty inputs a plus).
  • Knowledge of vegetable production systems and key crop segments preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to build consensus within a small, high-accountability team.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Job Expectations / Working Conditions:
