Job Description

In this position...

As a Payments Product Manager, you will drive the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of payments products and features that power seamless, secure, and scalable transactions for our customers and business partners. You'll operate in an agile environment, working cross-functionally with engineering, design, data science, risk, and finance teams to translate business needs into well-defined product requirements. You bring a self-starter mentality, an obsession with data and outcomes, and the discipline to ensure every feature we ship has a clear way to measure success. While deep payments domain expertise is a plus, we're most interested in a strong product operator who can quickly learn the space, leverage proven product frameworks and tools, and consistently drive meaningful, measurable impact.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Own and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for payments capabilities, aligning with broader business and technology strategy
  • Translate customer, business, and technical requirements into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams
  • Partner with engineering and design in an agile/scrum environment - participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Define success metrics and KPIs for every feature or product launch; ensure instrumentation and measurement plans are in place before go-live
  • Use data and analytics to continuously monitor product performance, identify opportunities, and inform prioritization decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, UX, risk/compliance, finance, operations) to align on priorities and remove blockers
  • Conduct market, competitive, and customer research to identify unmet needs and opportunities within the payments space
  • Communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and leadership
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, and drive decisions to keep initiatives moving forward
  • Champion a culture of experimentation, iteration, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or in a similar product ownership role, ideally within a technical or platform-driven environment
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to drive product decisions; comfort with dashboards, experimentation, and defining success metrics
  • Strong technical aptitude; ability to engage credibly with engineering teams on architecture, APIs, and system constraints
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Self-starter mentality with a bias toward action and ownership
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; known as a great teammate who elevates those around them
  • Experience with payments processing, receivables, ACH, or related financial transaction systems is a plus but not required

Even better, you may have...
  • 1+ years of Product Manager experience
  • Payments experience
  • Engineering experience
  • Data Analytics experience
