Job Description

NBCUniversal is seeking a Product Manager, Data Collaboration to join the Data Collaboration & Identity team. This team develops products that enable privacy-centric data collaboration between NBCU and its clients, agencies, enterprise partners, and measurement vendors.

In this role, you will be the primary link between the product team and the client-facing organization. You will work hand-in-hand with Strategy and Sales to ensure NBCU's data collaboration products land successfully with clients, drive meaningful adoption, and continuously evolve based on real-world client feedback. You will translate client needs into well-defined product requirements, collaborate with engineering to bring improvements to life, and build the scalable frameworks that enable our products to serve an expanding client base.

This is a client-facing product role focused on product adoption, client-driven product improvement, and scaling for growth - complementing a Sr. Product Manager who leads technical product development and a Sr. Director who sets portfolio strategy and vision.

Responsibilities

As the Product Manager, Data Collaboration you will:

Client Engagement & Adoption
  • Client Engagement & Product Representation - Serve as the product team's primary representative in client-facing interactions, including product introductions, capability walkthroughs, and ongoing engagement sessions alongside Strategy and Sales partners.
  • Product Adoption & Landing - Partner with Strategy and Sales to ensure new products and features are positioned effectively, understood by clients, and adopted successfully. Identify and address adoption barriers early by staying close to the client experience.
  • Client Feedback & Insights - Proactively gather, synthesize, and prioritize client feedback, feature requests, and usability observations. Translate qualitative input and quantitative usage signals into clear, actionable product insights.

Product Definition & Engineering Collaboration
  • Product Requirements Authorship - Translate client feedback and adoption insights into well-defined product requirements, including PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Own the full requirements lifecycle for client-driven product improvements - from problem definition through engineering handoff.
  • Engineering Collaboration - Work directly with engineering and data science teams to refine solutions, clarify requirements, participate in design reviews, and ensure delivered features meet client needs. While other PMs may own roadmap execution for larger initiatives, you are the author and advocate for improvements that originate from the client side.
  • Prioritization of Client-Driven Improvements - Own the prioritization of client-originated enhancement requests using scoring frameworks aligned with strategic goals, client impact, and effort. Ensure the highest-value client improvements are clearly represented in quarterly and monthly planning cycles.
  • Validation & Experimentation - Run pilots, beta programs, and structured validation cycles with clients to test product hypotheses and de-risk new features before committing to full development.

Scaling & Enablement
  • Scalable Client Enablement Frameworks - Build and maintain the documentation, playbooks, tooling, and self-service resources that enable Strategy, Sales, Solutions, and other teams to independently support clients on our products - reducing single-point-of-contact dependencies and preparing the product for scale.
  • Go-to-Market & Enablement Materials - Collaborate with Product Marketing, Strategy, and Sales to develop client-facing materials (product guides, capability overviews, release updates) and internal enablement resources (talking points, FAQs) that support effective product positioning.
  • Usage Metrics & Adoption Tracking - Monitor product usage data, adoption trends, and engagement patterns. Define and track KPIs that measure client outcomes and product success, and surface insights that inform roadmap decisions.

Strategic Input
  • Product Discovery - Bring the client perspective into product discovery and planning discussions. Identify opportunities to enhance client value, improve the user experience, and strengthen product-market fit.
  • Roadmap Input & Stakeholder Communication - Represent the voice of the client in roadmap prioritization and planning sessions. Keep Strategy and Sales informed on product developments, timelines, and upcoming capabilities that affect client conversations.
  • Market & Competitive Awareness - Stay informed on how competitors and adjacent platforms approach client experience, onboarding, and self-service capabilities to inform product differentiation.

Qualifications

  • Exposure to data collaboration technologies, data clean rooms, or privacy-safe audience solutions.
  • Familiarity with CTV, programmatic advertising, or measurement/attribution methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience writing product requirements (PRDs, user stories, or equivalent) and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver product improvements.
  • Proven ability to work directly with clients and build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Strategy, and Engineering teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - with the ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling client-facing narratives.
  • Comfort working with data, usage metrics, and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Looker, or similar) to inform product decisions and measure adoption.
  • Familiarity with agile product development practices and modern product management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence).
  • Experience contributing to product discovery, prioritization, or roadmap planning.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with SaaS platforms, data products, analytics-driven solutions, or ad tech ecosystems.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or B2B products in a media, advertising, or technology environment.
