About the RoleEquitable is looking for a
Product Manager driven to shape the future of its growing investment and advisory platform, Equitable Advisors. You will leverage your experience with alternative investments and other complex wealth management products to deliver solutions that help clients achieve their goals and enable financial advisors to build their practices. In executing the firm's product strategy, you will get exposure to many functional areas of the organization as you lead and collaborate with key stakeholders to map out deliverables, advance projects, and gain approval from senior leaders. This is an opportunity to serve as a subject matter expert and own an end-to-end process from product onboarding to order review, while keenly managing risk and driving results.
What You'll Be DoingResponsibilities
- Performing initial and ongoing due diligence of complex products including but not limited to real estate exchange programs (1031/DSTs) and other alternative and/or complex products
- Conducting principal review of real estate exchange business (or other alternatives investments, as needed) with a thorough and earnest analysis of each unique transaction and the prompt resolution of any issues
- Teaming with supervision, compliance partners and vendors on controls and risk management
- Acting as the subject matter expert with regards to assigned product lines while maintaining a strong understanding of all product offerings offered through the BD/RIA
- Reviewing, editing and creating communications and training content for assigned products
- Managing relationships with external vendors and product sponsors for assigned product lines
- Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to advance initiatives, resolve conflicts, address complex issues, and attain business goals and objectives
- Monitoring business and industry trends and identifying opportunities to better serve the needs of clients and advisors, helping to grow sales and assets for the Equitable Advisors retail channel
- Understanding and contributing to the firm's written supervisory procedures (WSPs)
- Supporting or executing additional ad-hoc projects as assigned by your leader
This position offers a flexible work schedule: it
may be fully remote/hybrid. If you are located near our office (e.g., Charlotte, NC), a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days on-site per week is expected to foster collaboration and connection.
The base salary range for this position is
$80,000 - $100,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

QualificationsWhat You Will BringRequired Qualifications
- 4+ years of work experience within a Product Manager role supporting investment securities, alternative investments and/or other financial services products
- FINRA Series 7, Series 66 or (Series 63 and 65) registrations, active
- FINRA Series 24 or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire
- Strong knowledge of alternative investments, mutual funds, investment advisory programs and general securities
- Client-centric attitude and a keen understanding of the relevant considerations required to assess product fit and transaction suitability based on client-specific facts and circumstances
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Microsoft office skills required, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Commitment to learning and expanding knowledge of investment products and industry
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Successful communication skills
