Job Summary:

XPEL is seeking a Product Manager - Coatings & Chemicals to lead the strategy, development, commercialization, and lifecycle management of our coatings, care chemicals, surface preparation products, and related accessories. This role will drive new product innovation, manage existing product portfolios, and work cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Training, and key vendor partners to deliver industry-leading solutions to installers, dealers, distributors, and consumers.
The ideal candidate combines strong product management experience with an understanding of automotive appearance products, detailing chemicals, ceramic coatings, surface preparation, installation processes, and competitive market dynamics.

Core Duties
  • Develop, own and execute product roadmap for coatings, care chemicals, prep products, and accessories.
  • communicate updates, achievements and challenges to the leadership team.
  • Manage whole product lifecycle.
  • Identify market opportunities through customer feedback, field observations, competitive analysis, and industry research.
  • Establish product positioning, value propositions, and long-term portfolio strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the specific market including "near neighbor" markets from a user and business perspective.
  • Develop and maintain product database with product specifications, warranty and other key product documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Five years of relevant experience in Product Management, Product Development or Project/ Program management preferably with professionally installed products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of product management experience.
  • Experience managing physical products from concept through commercialization.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Proficient in MS Suite of products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in automotive aftermarket, detailing, coatings, chemicals, adhesives, films, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of ceramic coatings, detailing chemicals, surface preparation products, or automotive appearance products.
  • Experience working with OEMs, distributors, installers, or dealer networks.
  • Familiarity with product testing, validation processes, and manufacturing environments.
