What You’ll Be Doing

You will work within the Transaction Banking Payments Product team, supporting the Group Product Manager and Director in achieving business objectives, and managing the relationship with various partners throughout the bank for all facets of the product relationship. You will be responsible for one or two products withing the Cheques and Cash Payments portfolio which include Cheque product and related features such as Third Party Cheques, Cash & Cheques Ordering, Bulk Cheque Imaging, Stop & Return Process, etc. You will also assist in development, management, presentation and implementation of projects related to Cash Management products, including tactics that will build the business and optimize profitability, efficiency, growth and improve the client experience.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Product Management. Assist in the development and recommendation of strategic plans and analyzing product opportunities. Focusing on maximizing market share and profitability of products through collection of revenue, regular competitive reviews and cost management.. Responsible for the day-to-day management and development of Cash Management Receivables products pricing recommendations. Provide marketing/communications support on products, features & services collateral, including product positioning & ensuring that product content is up-to-date.

  • Collaboration. Act as the subject matter expert with various internal business partners in order to author business cases, requirement documents, product/feature enhancements, etc. Contribute to strategy, annual business plans, development of recommendations and business cases for programs supporting Commercial Banking clients. Provide ongoing, high-quality support to our internal sales and service partners.

  • Project Management & Continuous Improvement. Manage execution of projects including responsibilities for supporting and individually managing other key stakeholders in the analysis, development and implementation of projects and project related work packages, particularly related to Cash Management products. Provide input into, and recommendations regarding, the ongoing improvement of sales capabilities and CIBC’s channel distribution effectiveness. This includes the development and management of internal sales support programs and communications.

Who You Are

  • You have an undergraduate degree or Masters in Business Administration or Commerce, or related discipline OR equivalent business experience.

  • You can demonstrate experience in product management and product development. You have a strong knowledge of Cash Management Products, with experience in launching new innovative products to market. It’s an asset if you have experience in a financial services industry.
