Overview

This role is part of a team shaping and delivering solutions to our US Public Sector customers, with a focus on scaling our Atlassian Government Cloud (FedRAMP Moderate) offering. Your mission: prioritize and execute a product roadmap that maximizes customer value while balancing compliance scope, engineering investment, and market impact using a "build once, authorize many" architecture.
What this team does

• Defines and delivers the end-to-end roadmap for Atlassian Government Cloud (FedRAMP Moderate).
• Partners with core platform, product engineering, security, Risk & Compliance, Legal, and GTM teams.
• Engages with agency sponsors and public sector partners to validate requirements, secure letters of intent, and support migrations.
• Shapes pricing, packaging, and commercialization strategies tailored to federal procurement and budget cycles.
• Drives Marketplace and ecosystem readiness to meet public sector compliance needs.
• Collaborates with go-to-market teams and solution partners to build repeatable implementation patterns and reference architectures.

Responsibilities

What you'll do as a Product Manager on this team

• Co-create and sequence the FedRAMP Moderate product roadmap with peer PMs, engineering, and compliance leaders.
• Translate regulatory controls (e.g., NIST 800-53, RMF) into actionable product requirements and platform capabilities.
• Drive cross-functional execution-defining scope, acceptance criteria, and success metrics while proactively mitigating risks.
• Partner with field teams to establish design partnerships, gather agency feedback, and represent the roadmap in customer forums.
• Guide pricing, packaging, and launch readiness across marketing, sales, customer success, and support.
• Serve as an internal and external subject matter expert on public sector customer needs and compliance realities.

Pay Ranges

In The United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $144,900 - $189,175

Zone B: $130,410 - $170,258

Zone C: $120,267 - $157,015

Qualifications

On day one, you bring

• B2B SaaS product management experience with platform, security, or compliance-focused products.
• Experience in the US public sector or highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts (AWS / GovCloud) and how they map to control implementations.
• Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives, making scope/sequence trade-offs, and communicating effectively with executives and customers.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with FedRAMP authorization lifecycles, 3PAO assessments, or GSA/FedRAMP PMO engagement.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, NIST RMF, CMMC, or related compliance frameworks.
• Experience enabling third-party apps and partner ecosystems within regulated cloud environments.
