Full Job Description
Product Manager, AI - Portfolio Product Manager, AI - Portfolio AI runs in two directions across A10's business. It's embedded in what we ship - adaptive learning and dynamic attack pattern recognition in DDoS Mitigation and Detection, behavioral profiling in ThreatX WAAP and analytics in A10 Control. AI is also the workload our customers now need protected, which is where A10 AI Firewall and our AI gateway work come in. This role spans the portfolio. You will help make A10's AI capabilities consistent, evidence-backed, and buildable across the whole portfolio, and you'll have a seat at portfolio review, gate reviews, and AI CoE intake to do it. Responsibilities • Author PRDs for AI capabilities that cross product boundaries: model transparency requirements, efficacy and false-positive reporting, telemetry schemas, and management-plane exposure through A10 Control and aXAPI. • Partner with the PMs owning Thunder ADC, CGN, SSLi, CFW, the A10 Defend suite, and A10 Control so AI lands consistently rather than five different ways. • Drive AI requirements through NPI stage gates - gate artifacts, LEAN action tracker, cross-functional commitments visible ahead of each review. • Own the AI competitive baseline: maintained battlecards and gap analysis the field actually pulls from. • Size AI-driven opportunity across our service provider and enterprise motions, and bring a point of view to portfolio review. • Build the technical substance behind AI messaging - deployment architectures, reference topologies, solution briefs, demo narratives that hold up under an SE's questions. • Maintain the internal source of truth for what A10 ships in AI today, what's in trial, and what's roadmap. • Define the metrics that show whether AI capabilities work in the field: detection efficacy, false positive rates, adoption, time-to-value. • Join customer and prospect calls with SEs and account teams, and convert what you hear into prioritized input. Qualifications Required • 1-3 years in product management, technical product marketing, solutions engineering, or a technical role with product exposure. • Working fluency in networking and security fundamentals - L4-L7, TLS, HTTP/API traffic, load balancing, firewalling, DDoS. Enough to hold a technical conversation with an SE without translating. • Hands-on familiarity with LLM and agentic systems: prompt injection, why an AI gateway exists, what an MCP server does, where model output becomes an attack surface. Coursework and side projects count. • Clear writing and the ability to structure ambiguous problems. Your written artifacts are the job. • BS/BA in a technical field, or equivalent practical background. Preferred • Enterprise infrastructure or security products sold through both service provider and enterprise motions. • Stage-gate or phase-gate product development experience. • Kubernetes, cloud-native deployment models, or infrastructure-as-code tooling. • SQL, Python, or notebook-based analysis. #LI-AN1 - Hybrid
