Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
  • Experience launching products and conducting quantitative product analysis.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • Experience on LLM prompt design, evaluation, and with working on algorithmic and experimentation-driven systems.
  • Experience transforming user needs and research into well-designed product solutions and experience building high quality non-deterministic algorithmic solutions.
  • Experience in education tech.
  • Experience analyzing user metrics and experiments, and strong understanding of statistics.

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The Search EDU team is dedicated to building the world's most knowledgeable AI for learning. The goal is to enable users to ask Search any educational question in a natural, conversational way, making Google the go-to partner for everything from finishing daily homework to planning a college journey.

In this role, you will make Search's AI answers for education personally useful to a various global audience, ranging from primary school students to lifelong learners. You will collaborate with horizontal teams and ecosystem partners to shape strategic product execution, while working directly on the complete Search AI stack-including prompt design, evaluations, and model evolution. Ultimately, you will drive initiatives that make a meaningful difference in how humanity learns and accesses knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Define and operationalize product roadmaps by deeply understanding the needs, desires, and constraints of a various learner audience-ranging from primary school students to PhDs and lifelong learners.
  • Work directly on the full Search AI stack to drive product development, leveraging prompt design, evaluations, experimentation, and GDM (Google DeepMind) model evolution.
  • Develop product strategy with horizontal teams, determining which educational solutions require vertically deep, tailored execution versus broader, horizontal integration.
  • Collaborate across the global education ecosystem to build and launch direct-to-consumer experiences, school and university solutions, and integrated third-party partnerships.
  • Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle-from ideation and launch to maintenance-partnering closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, UX, PgMs, and Data Scientists) to secure buy-in and achieve the overall product goal.
