Full Job Description
Summary/Objective

Own the product strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes for API's Core Product platform, translating market insight, business goals, and customer needs into a prioritized roadmap and delivered features for the crew accommodation platform. Serves as the primary link between executive stakeholders, commercial teams, and delivery teams - building the business case for what gets built, sequencing it by value, and being accountable for the outcomes once it ships. Initially focused on the Integration transformation project, with ownership expanding across API's broader Core Product suite over time.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and maintain the multi-quarter product vision and roadmap for API's Core Product platform, grounded in market, competitive, and customer insight.
  • Build and own the business case for major initiatives - cost, expected value, adoption assumptions, and success criteria - and present it to executive stakeholders for investment decisions.
  • Identify market and customer trends that should shift roadmap priorities, and make the call on trade-offs between new capability, technical debt, and compliance work.

Backlog & Requirements Ownership

  • Prioritize and groom the product backlog using a consistent framework (e.g., RICE, WSJF, MoSCoW), ensuring it reflects the approved roadmap and business case.
  • Translate strategy, business goals, and customer needs into clear, build-ready user stories, acceptance criteria, and definition of done.
  • Maintain backlog hygiene - ensure items are appropriately sized, sequenced, and free of ambiguity before entering a sprint.

Stakeholder Alignment & Executive Communication

  • Serve as the voice of the customer and the business; represent user and market needs in all planning, design, and prioritization conversations.
  • Align commercial stakeholders (Sales, Customer Success, Finance) and delivery stakeholders (Engineering, Design, QA, Operations) around a shared roadmap and set of trade-offs.
  • Report roadmap progress, business impact, and key decisions to the Head of Core Products and SVP, Core Products on a regular cadence.
  • Coordinate release scope and stakeholder communication across time zones, including with offshore/nearshore delivery pods where applicable.

Delivery & Go-to-Market

  • Partner with the Tech Lead and Architect on feasibility, technical sequencing, and release planning.
  • Participate in and help run Agile ceremonies - sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospectives.
  • Own the full AI-SDLC product lifecycle (BOLT lifecycle, Units, Intents) for all features moving through the pipeline.
  • Coordinate go-to-market and launch readiness with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success for major releases.

Metrics, Revenue & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report on adoption, revenue/retention impact, release predictability, and progress against committed OKRs.
  • Use customer feedback and usage data to validate business case assumptions and inform roadmap re-prioritization.
  • Partner with the Product Operations Manager to ensure the roadmap and backlog reflect real operational workflows rather than isolated feature requests.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management, including ownership of a product roadmap and business case for a B2B SaaS product.
  • Demonstrated experience translating market/competitive analysis and financial justification into an approved, funded roadmap.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and backlog tooling (Jira, JPD) and prioritization methods (RICE or equivalent).
  • Background in SaaS or enterprise integration products; travel/airline domain experience a plus.
  • Strong executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting business cases to senior leadership.
  • Practical experience with the AI-SDLC product lifecycle.
  • Prior airline industry knowledge preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or equivalent experience owning P&L, pricing, or business-case decisions for a product line.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or Pragmatic Institute / AIPMM Product Management certification.
  • Experience with pricing, packaging, or monetization decisions for an enterprise SaaS product.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or a BI tool (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) to self-serve usage, adoption, and revenue data.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Success Metrics (First 6-12 Months)

  • Roadmap and business case for the Integration transformation project approved and tracking to committed OKRs.
  • Release predictability (planned vs. delivered scope) improves quarter over quarter.
  • Executive and cross-functional stakeholders report high confidence in roadmap clarity and business-case rigor.
  • Measurable adoption or revenue/retention impact attributable to shipped roadmap items.
