OverviewCorning's Optical Fiber and Cable (OFC) division is seeking a Product Line Manager to lead the global strategy for the Contour and S-Bend fiber product lines. In this high-visibility role, you will own the full product lifecycle - from market positioning and competitive strategy to forecasting, intellectual property, and end-of-life management. You will work across Technology, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to drive both short- and long-term profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the global product line strategy, managing the Contour and S-Bend fiber products through the full lifecycle - from market positioning through obsolescence
- Lead a cross-functional, multi-site product team of functional leads across Technology, Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Marketing, and Sales
- Define the product line's market value proposition; assess downstream market requirements, competitive threats, and optimal solutions for performance, quality, and customer needs
- Own the product line planning process, including project prioritization, resource allocation, and forecast management in coordination with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain
- Develop and manage an intellectual property and product standards strategy for the product line
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline with a strong analytical background
- 10+ years of experience in product line management, marketing, manufacturing, or engineering within an engineering-based, customer-focused environment
- Demonstrated track record of managing projects and leading multi-functional teams
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
Desired Qualifications- MBA or equivalent demonstrated business experience
- Experience managing direct reports
- Background in manufacturing, product development, or business strategy
- Financial analysis and accounting experience
- Experience leading multicultural or multi-geographic projects
This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $148,181.00 - $203,749.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
