Overview

Cummings Electrical is hiring a Product Engineering Manager for our Integrated Manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX. 

 

Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC’s and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Must be able to Lead, mentor, and develop a team of CAD Drafters and Product Engineers to ensure high-quality design output and technical accuracy.
  • Oversee the development of detailed 3D equipment models and production drawing packages using AutoCAD Inventor. 
  • Collaborating with Production Managers and Project Managers to align design efforts with production capabilities, project schedules, and customer requirements.
  • Establish and maintain CAD standards, design processes, and quality control procedures for the Product Engineering team.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, and standardization in the design and drafting process.
  • Provide technical guidance and support on complex projects, including Electrical and HVAC system integration.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of production drawings and design documentation to support manufacturing and field operations.
  • Manage workload distribution, project assignments, and performance expectations for the Product Engineering team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to resolve design challenges and support project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Drafting & Design, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in CAD design/drafting, product engineering, or related roles.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role overseeing CAD or engineering teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor or Solid Works is required.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, HVAC systems, and their application in construction or manufacturing environments is required.
  • Experience developing and implementing CAD standards, drafting processes, and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience with creating organized and concise drawing sets to drive construction work flow efficiencies.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and drive process improvement initiatives.
