Job Req ID: 30195Job Summary:Supermicro is seeking a Product Engineer who can support the development and integration of server/high density design server products for cloud and data center infrastructure. This individual will have the opportunity to define and implement latest data center and server technologies, and to create proof of concepts and technical feature paper presentations to differentiate Supermicro product through online and at various industry events. This individual will also be the go-to person for product managers and system engineers to be the subject of matter experts in application benchmarks specifically in AI inferencing, server performance, network, storage and virtualization
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Drive and support engineering activities for server and high-density system designs
- Lead system-level integration, bring-up, and validation of servers
- Interface with customers to analyze technical problems and provide solutions
- Proactively identify and escalate critical issues to senior management and vendors, ensuring timely and effective resolution of product-related challenges
- Identify, escalate, and resolve critical engineering issues from production line
- Support early PM sample build and first factory builds; work with quality teams with documentation and analysis
- Research server architectures and emerging technologies
Qualifications:- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent work experiences
- 0-2 years of experience in server development, system architecture, or hardware engineering
- Strong understanding of computer/server architecture and electronic fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with server brings-ups, validation, and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are crucial, with the ability to effectively interact with customers
- Familiarity with industry trends and standards such as AI, virtualization technologies, cloud computing, data center, hosting and cloud gaming is highly advantageous
Salary Range$95,000 - $112,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
