You'll Support Meaningful Work By:- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop complex system products involving multiple materials and processes
- Designing and engineering architectural solutions such as glass walls, solid walls, and screens
- Applying mechanical engineering principles and material science knowledge to product development
- Creating and defining performance requirements on engineering drawings
- Managing and prioritizing multiple ongoing projects to meet deadlines
- Prototyping and testing concepts using various methods to validate design decisions
- Building strong connections by seeking input and fostering open dialogue across departments
- Demonstrating curiosity and exploring new perspectives to solve tough problems
- Driving initiatives to successful completion with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership
- Pursuing answers with persistence and creativity, believing that solutions always exist
- Showing a genuine passion for creating and innovating
- Exploring new ideas, places, and approaches both inside and outside of work
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3+ years of work experience in product development within an engineering discipline
- Experience creating and defining performance requirements on engineering drawings
- Ability to apply mechanical engineering principles and knowledge of material science, manufacturing processes, and tools in product engineering
- Strong understanding of tolerance analysis

The starting annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
