Job Description

Essential Skills and Experience

Technical Engineering Ownership:
• Own NPI and sustaining engineering for PSU and Scuf Controller product lines - schematic and BOM review, DFMEA/DFM/DFA input, and hands-on issue resolution, not just tracking status.
• Lead technical root-cause investigations on manufacturing and field issues; distinguish process-driven causes from upstream design causes and route each to the right owner.
• Review and validate PFMEA, process parameters, and test/qualification plans with suppliers; push back on weak engineering when you see it.
• Own component and material readiness; availability, compliance, cost alignment across the PSU and Scuf supplier base.
Manufacturing Readiness and Cross-Functional Ownership:
• Track and report NPI and sustaining readiness status on a regular cadence, including second-source qualification and PCN activity, not just build status.
• Identify what's blocking manufacturing and drive the issue to resolution with a clear owner and timeline, rather than escalating and waiting.
• Act as the primary interface between Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Quality for PSU and Scuf; consolidating detailed inputs into clear, high-level status for leadership.
• Evaluate factory capacity, line qualification, and manufacturing process scalability with our contract manufacturing partners.
• Build and maintain direct working relationships with OEM and contract manufacturing partners; understand their real capabilities and constraints, not just what's on paper.
Collaboration:
• Partner closely with Quality on inspection criteria, audit findings, and issue closure; clear lanes, shared accountability for outcomes.
• Represent PSU and Scuf in cross-functional and executive-facing readiness reviews.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field; advanced degree a plus.
• 3-5+ years in a hardware product/NPI engineering role, with direct, hands-on ownership of power electronics, PCBA, or similar component-level engineering.
• Demonstrated experience owning supplier relationships through DVT/PVT/OOBE and mass production ramp.
• Comfortable reading schematics and BOMs, and engaging suppliers on technical trade-offs directly.
• Experience with root-cause analysis methodology (8D, DOE, or equivalent) and driving corrective actions to closure.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical detail into clear, exec-ready status.
• Experience with gaming, consumer electronics, or power-supply hardware is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working with suppliers and manufacturing partners primarily based in Asia; some flexibility for early or late calls.
