DescriptionRole Overview The Product Development Manager will be responsible for working cross-functionally with Design to ensure development from concept to production.
Responsibilities- Proactively work with design to ensure product is developed according to timelines.
- Manage Time & Action calendars.
- Work diligently with design and customer by attending fittings for on-time approval of proto/fit samples and comments to the factory.
- Daily communication with Design on issues as they arise.
- Resolve materials, patterns and color issues with all the appropriate functional teams.
- Maintain and update color BOM seasonally.
- Send all artwork and color standards to the FTY for development.
- Other Ad Hoc duties assigned by Design and Production Directors to support the needs of the departments.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in product development
- Ability to influence, build and manage relationships with design as well as develop partnership with sales teams
- Must be highly proficient in PLM, Microsoft Suite - especially Excel
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be self-motivated and collaborate well with teams and cross-functional partners
- Problem solver who can work well in a demanding deadline driven environment
- Motivated, proactive, highly organized and detail oriented as well as strong adaptability
- Strong communication skills
