  • Develop crimp and swage specifications, tooling, and manufacturing/ assembly processes.
  • Develops and validates analytical models utilizing a combination of metallic and non-metallic components.
  • Create 3D models , detailed 2D drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs) using CAD software.
  • Develop inspections requirements such as crimp/swage tolerances, proof testing pressures, media and duration.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards (e.g., SAE, ISO, AMS, ASTM) and customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with sales and customers to develop product requirements, match existing product or determine what is needed for new product.
  • Design tooling, fixturing leak test tooling required to fabricate assemblies.
  • Strong knowledge of stainless steel and polymers (PTFE) is a strong asset.
  • Development and interpretation of design standards.

Product Engineering
  • Define hose assembly performance requirements (pressure, vacuum, temperature, vibration, environmental conditions).
  • Conduct tolerance analysis, material selection, and stress/thermal evaluations.
  • Support new product development (NPD) initiatives from concept through production.

Testing & Validation
  • Develop and oversee product verification tests throughout product development phases (burst, impulse, pressure cycling, leak testing). Performs product failure analysis's supporting design recommendations.
  • Experience both internal and external testing laboratories.
  • Analyze test data and implement data design improvements.
  • Develop engineering test plans and reports.
