Summary:We are seeking a Product Design Engineer to join our Mill Liner Products & Solutions team. In this role, you will design and improve mill liner products by combining engineering principles, CAD design, reverse engineering, and field data analysis. Working closely with customers, field personnel, and cross-functional engineering teams, you will develop solutions that improve equipment performance and extend wear life in demanding mining applications.
Responsibilities:- Design mill liner components using 3D CAD software and prepare manufacturing drawings.
- Analyze worn components using field measurements, point cloud scans, and reverse engineering techniques.
- Develop engineering solutions that improve wear life, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with customers, Product Managers, Sales, and Engineering teams to understand application requirements.
- Support product development projects from concept through implementation.
- Evaluate field performance data and recommend product improvements.
- Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.
- Travel to customer mine sites as required.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada required
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical design or product development experience.
- Experience using CAD software and Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites.
Preferred:- Experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
- Experience with mill liner or wear component design.
- Autodesk Inventor and Vault experience.
- Experience with point cloud scanning or reverse engineering technologies.
- Understanding of metallurgy and wear materials.
- Spanish language skills are an asset.
Salary Description
$100,000 - $130,000
