Full Job Description
What You'll Do:
Own delivery end-to-end: Take customer projects from scoping through launch, managing scope, timelines, and stakeholder communication across a range of project sizes and urgency levels.
Act as a mini-PM: Clarify requirements, define scope, set milestones, and drive execution across internal and external stakeholders. Hold customers and teammates accountable to commitments.
Translate customer needs into solutions: Partner with customers to understand their workflows, data, and operational realities, then map those needs to what Tabs can deliver - through existing functionality, creative configuration, or new builds.
Partner with product and engineering: Identify gaps, escalate issues, and collaborate on solutions when out-of-the-box functionality isn't enough. Document learnings to inform the product roadmap.
Investigate and resolve customer issues: Operate in an FDE-style capacity when needed - digging into customer environments, third-party tools (ERPs, CRMs, payment and tax vendors), and edge cases to unblock progress.
Manage stakeholders: Build trusted relationships with customer-side operators, finance leaders, and system admins. Keep all parties aligned on priorities, risks, and next steps.
Document and scale: Capture learnings, patterns, and playbooks so the team gets faster and sharper with every project.
Who You Are:
You're a proactive self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and doesn't wait for perfect requirements to move forward. You're resourceful and pragmatic - you gather context quickly, make reasonable assumptions, and find ways to unblock yourself and others.
You communicate clearly across audiences, whether that's a finance leader at a customer, an engineer on your team, or a CS partner trying to keep a customer happy. You balance customer expectations with internal realities and build trust on both sides.
You're a strong problem-solver and project manager who anticipates challenges, weighs tradeoffs between speed and quality, and drives projects to completion. You're systems-minded - comfortable reasoning about how pieces fit together, where edge cases live, and what could break - even if you're not the one writing the code. Above all, you're impact-driven and care about shipping outcomes that work for real users.
Experience:
3+ years in implementation, solutions, customer onboarding, technical project management, or a similar customer-facing role at a startup or fast-paced SaaS environment.
Demonstrated ability to scope and drive projects end-to-end in ambiguous environments, working with imperfect requirements and tight timelines.
Strong technical acumen - able to assess a customer's stack, reason about APIs, data flows, and integrations, and design workflows that hold up in production. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable working closely with them.
Excellent cross-functional communicator with experience managing customer relationships and internal stakeholders simultaneously.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with SQL, Python, or confidence picking it up quickly.
Light Python experience, or willingness to learn enough to be self-sufficient on lightweight tooling.
Experience working in or alongside finance, accounting, or B2B operations workflows.
Exposure to ERPs, CRMs, or payment/tax systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, QuickBooks).
