The Global Services Legal team is seeking to appoint a senior manager to act as Products Counsel.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of global legal professionals focused on go to market enablement of software products, including through management of team structure, workflow, relationship building, project execution, and creation of reports and risk assessments.
- Support senior business leadership in strategic initiatives, including designing new software products and bringing those products to market.
- Review global software products and provide practical legal risk analyses, mitigation strategies, and enable those products to go to market in a legally compliant and strategic manner.
- Work with Business teams and legal SMEs to evaluate the technology and use cases related to new products, including reviewing inbound technology, data supply, regulatory challenges and internal client facing templates in different geographies.
- Develop clear communication messages, guidance, templates and trainings regarding the technology/data components of products for go to market teams, development teams and the rest of the Legal organization on how to bring software products to market in a legally compliant and strategic manner.
- Help in design and implementation of tools and processes to enhance request management, legal risk assessments and coordination with business and other legal colleagues.
- Preserve path to productization by providing guidance to transaction teams on operational and contractual measures to take before deal closure.
- Working knowledge of: (a) data and security privacy issues; (b) IP law; (c) OSS licensing; and (d) general product development considerations. Understanding connection between in-bound agreements and client-facing agreements.
- Appetite for tech enablement of legal, including exploring the capacity and implementation of legal AI agents
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Experience leading teams, mentoring legal team members, and supporting career development of team members.
Basic Qualifications: - Minimum of 12 years of experience at law firm and/or as in-house counsel at a technology company, in managing software products and/or services offerings, complex commercial arrangements (client, alliances, and/or vendor side).
- Hold a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
Preferred Qualifications: - Passion for supporting innovative technology and taking software products, agentic frameworks and services to market are pre-requisites.
- Fluency in English with strong oral and written communications skills.
- Experience of working with international teams in a global business. Open to work with and understand cross-cultures throughout the Accenture global organization
- Team management experience, including training of junior team members, with remote employees across multiple time zones.
- Individual achiever that can operate with minimal oversight and direction
- Track record of developing trusted relationships with business leaders
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in business strategies.
- Technology transactional experience either in drafting and negotiating technology focused client-facing and/or vendor-facing agreements (i.e. data licensing, software as a service agreements, cloud, software license agreements, or software development agreements).
