Full Job Description
Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to work on-site at least 2 days per week at our office in Mississauga. The remaining days may be worked remotely, subject to team and business needs.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Product Innovation within the Specialty Health business unit at McKesson Canada, this role will be a key contributor to a high-impact product innovation team. The Product Business Analyst will work closely with business, product, and technology partners to help shape and deliver a transformative new platform, using strategic insights to inform the product roadmap and drive meaningful outcomes for our patients.

This position is vital for executing high-quality and innovative patient services that align with the Specialty Health business strategy. Responsibilities include supporting large-scale digital transformation related to patient support programs, specialty pharmacy, data migration strategy, planning, organizing, and overseeing activities related to current and future applications.

The role will involve collaborating closely with McKesson Technology and other key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of product roadmaps.

The ideal candidate for this role must be:

  • A strategic and analytical thinker who can translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.


  • Experienced in digital transformation, preferably within specialty healthcare or biopharma environments. Experience with digital transformations with Salesforce would be an asset.


  • Proficient in business analysis and agile methodologies, with a solid grasp of product development lifecycles.


  • Skilled at defining problems and using strong design thinking to develop digital solutions to these problems.


  • Enthusiastic about automating workflows with AI, with an eye for identifying opportunities where AI can remove hurdles and add to efficiencies.


  • Skilled at cross-functional collaboration with product, business, and technology teams to drive alignment and execution.


  • An effective communicator and detail-oriented professional, capable of navigating fast-paced, regulated environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a domain expert and advocate for both customers and internal stakeholders, supporting the product team in delivering superior digital experiences, particularly in order management and patient support programs.


  • Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and McKesson Technology teams to gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.


  • Analyze current business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and alignment with strategic goals.


  • Support the product backlog by refining and prioritizing features based on business value, stakeholder input, and customer behaviour insights; ensure development teams remain unblocked.


  • Lead and participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.


  • Conduct gap analyses and impact assessments for proposed changes or new features and assist in defining and tracking KPIs to measure product success.


  • Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions throughout the product lifecycle and validate that developed features meet business requirements.


  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure traceability of requirements; contribute to change management and training efforts to support adoption of new solutions.


  • Communicate the CRM product vision and business needs to technical teams; build rapport with cross-functional stakeholders to guide execution and foster alignment.


  • Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to support product decisions and ensure compliance with privacy regulations and internal policies.


  • Promote continuous improvement in operational processes and actively support a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive work environment in line with the "One McKesson" culture.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2-5 years of direct experience to drive product development required, with a preference for backgrounds in Canadian Healthcare, particularly in the Biopharma industry.
  • 3+ years of direct experience in business analysis to drive product development required.
  • Business or product analysis-related certification is preferred but not essential.
  • Salesforce experience is preferred.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstrated success in defining and building digital products, including creating and launching new offerings within the Canadian biopharma/healthcare industry (experience specifically within the overall context of patient support programs preferred).
  • Experience in implementing a new system from 0 to 1.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in effectively promoting and persuading the adoption of concepts and ideas within the leadership of a large complex organization with multiple decision-makers and business units.
  • Comfortable creating visuals and workflow diagrams using tools such as Visio or Miro to communicate complex concepts clearly to technology and business teams.
  • Business acumen, including a deep understanding of the economics of digital product development.
  • Ability to establish an objective prioritization framework to assess asks.
  • Experience in design thinking principles and customer experience design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate concepts to technical and non-technical audiences at various hierarchical levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, building relationships and collaborating across diverse stakeholder groups.
