Product & Applications Development Engineer to join our growing Fluid Systems team-and help shape the future of our fuel systems, reservoirs, caps, fittings, and other fluid-handling products.
What You'll DoIn this role, you'll be a technical leader and subject-matter expert, driving development and continuous improvement across our Fluid Systems portfolio. You'll collaborate with customers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and cross-functional partners to bring high-performance products to life.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading development, qualification, and launch of new proprietary and customer Fluid Systems products.
- Ensuring designs meet customer needs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements (EPA, CARB, ANSI/OPEI, SAE, FMVSS).
- Managing validation testing, certifications, regulatory documentation, and EPA CDX submissions.
- Providing hands-on applications engineering support for fuel systems, reservoirs, caps, fittings, venting solutions, materials, and additives.
- Partnering with Manufacturing and Quality to improve cost, performance, reliability, and process capability.
- Supporting customer technical inquiries, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions.
- Collaborating with Sales on new business opportunities, technical presentations, and customer visits.
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, labs, and industry partners.

RequirementsPreferred qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience with plastics fluid systems, injection molding, blow molding, and secondary operations preferred.
- Industry knowledge related to outdoor power equipment fuel tanks is a plus.
- Strong 3D CAD/SolidWorks skills.
- Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, Internet tools, FTP, and ISO procedures.
Work EnvironmentThis role offers a mix of office-based engineering work and hands-on testing activities. Typical weekly schedule is 40 hours, with additional time as needed. Occasional lifting up to 40 pounds may be required.
