Job OverviewThe Retirement Partners team within LPL's Wealth Management group is responsible for delivering a highly competitive suite of retirement solutions and platforms for advisors and their clients. A critical enabler of this mission is building a scalable, accurate, and actionable data foundation that supports product growth, advisor engagement, and improved participant outcomes.
The Product Analyst, Retirement Data Insights and Governance will lead efforts to define, enhance, and operationalize data strategy, reporting, and governance across LPL's retirement ecosystem. This includes ownership of product flow tracking, rollover data, participant-level insights, and data quality frameworks. This individual will serve as a bridge between business, technology, operations, and data teams, ensuring that retirement data is trusted, accessible, and leveraged to drive decision-making and product innovation.
Key ResponsibilitiesData Strategy & Foundations- Define and enhance the retirement data strategy, including data models, architecture inputs, and foundational datasets
- Partner with Technology and Data Engineering to ensure scalable, high-quality data pipelines across retirement products and platforms
- Establish consistent definitions for key data elements across plans, participants, advisors, and product flows
Product Flow Tracking & Analytics- Design and implement end-to-end tracking of product flows, including contributions, rollovers, distributions, and conversions
- Develop frameworks to track retirement asset movement, conversion rates, and lifecycle metrics
- Create visibility into advisor and client behavior across retirement products
Participant-Level Data & Insights- Build and enhance capabilities around participant-level data aggregation, segmentation, and reporting
- Partner with business stakeholders to generate insights that improve participant engagement and outcomes
- Enable use cases such as financial wellness, advice delivery, and targeted outreach
Reporting & Business Intelligence- Define and deliver standardized reporting and dashboards for leadership, product teams, and advisor-facing groups
- Translate business needs into clear data requirements and reporting outputs
- Ensure data is actionable, intuitive, and aligned to business KPIs
Data Governance & Quality- Establish and support data governance frameworks, including ownership, controls, and documentation
- Partner with Product Risk, Legal, and Compliance to ensure regulatory alignment (e.g., ERISA, DOL, data privacy)
- Define and monitor data quality metrics, controls, and issue resolution processes
Core Responsibilities- Act as SME for retirement data across products, platforms, and workflows
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance data infrastructure and reporting capabilities
- Define and document data requirements, definitions, and lineage
- Deliver insights through analysis, dashboards, and executive presentations
- Partner across Technology, Operations, Finance, and Risk to drive data initiatives
- Support vendor integrations and data flows related to recordkeepers and platform providers
- Engage stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business and advisor needs

Requirements- Bachelor's degree with 5-7+ years of relevant experience in data, product analytics, or platform roles
- Experience working with retirement products, recordkeepers, or financial services platforms
- Understanding of retirement data structures, including plans, participants, contributions, and rollovers
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Proven ability to define and translate business requirements into data solutions
- Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed environment

- Experience working with large-scale data environments or data lakes/warehouses
- Exposure to rollover tracking, asset movement analytics, and lifecycle reporting

Pay Range: $69,731.00 - $116,184.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
