Job SummaryThe Product Analyst II (Data/Digital) supports the design, implementation, and ongoing management of digital and data products and services that enhance the experiences of patients, families, and staff. This role works closely with enterprise stakeholders at Keck Medicine of Client to define business requirements, develop user stories, identify value propositions, and support product strategy and roadmap development.
The Product Analyst II conducts market research to understand industry challenges and identify innovative solutions. The role also helps promote awareness and adoption of digital and data product offerings among business stakeholders while supporting the continued development and expansion of the product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear business requirements and user stories.
- Support the design, implementation, and ongoing management of digital and data products and services.
- Identify and articulate value propositions for digital and data solutions.
- Conduct market research to understand industry challenges, emerging trends, and potential innovative solutions.
- Develop and maintain workflow diagrams that translate business requirements into application builds.
- Analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions to support enterprise needs.
- Build awareness of optimal solution usage and promote effective adoption of digital and data products across the organization.
- Develop and maintain relationships with enterprise leaders across clinical, business, research, and other areas to support data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and expansion of the product roadmap.
- Provide technical and functional support for assigned applications and business functions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for department functions related to the implementation and management of assigned systems.
- Design, develop, code, and modify websites, applications, and forms based on client requirements, with an emphasis on user-friendly design and clear navigation.
- Support performance improvement, business transformation, and innovation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve systems and business workflows.
- Apply industry best practices, conventions, and applicable regulations to assigned work.
- Perform limited programming and integration activities and work on moderately complex assignments.
- Lead assigned work efforts and use project planning skills to complete initiatives on time and within budget.
- Generate standard and ad hoc reports and assist with the development of custom or nonstandard reports as required.
- Provide customer service and technical assistance to internal users, vendors, and IS colleagues.
- Respond to customer questions, complaints, service issues, and tickets professionally and efficiently.
- Follow established IT procedures and utilize problem-solving skills to resolve issues or escalate them appropriately.
- Work with customers and vendors to provide training on newly implemented systems and applications.
- Assist with training new staff members on applicable systems and applications.
- Manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous environment with autonomy.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in product analysis or business analysis.
- Experience working in a Cerner (Oracle Health) environment.
- Experience developing visualizations using Tableau and Power BI.
- Experience gathering requirements from users and developing workflow diagrams that support application builds.
- Experience analyzing business needs and recommending appropriate technical solutions.
- Experience conducting or utilizing market research to support solution recommendations.
- Experience developing awareness and adoption of technology solutions among business stakeholders.
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with enterprise leaders, including stakeholders in clinical, business, and research areas.
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and complex environment.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively in meetings and with stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
- Working knowledge of multiple application systems and business functions.
- Working knowledge of applicable industry best practices, conventions, and regulations.
- Ability to perform limited programming and/or integration activities.
- Ability to generate standard and ad hoc reports.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in a healthcare information systems (Healthcare IS) environment.
