In this pivotal position, you'll manage the end-to-end procurement process, including issuing purchase orders, coordinating bulk material acquisitions, and supporting engineering and production teams. Your expertise will ensure timely delivery of goods and services, uphold safety and quality standards, and foster strong vendor partnerships-all while guiding a team to excellence.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Proven procurement experience of at least 5 years, with a minimum of 10 years in supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, bulk equipment purchasing, and engineered items.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME codes and standards.
- Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with vendors, engineering, and internal teams.
- Proficiency with business software, including Business Central and SharePoint, to streamline procurement and reporting processes.
Nice to Have:
- Construction industry experience and familiarity with construction procurement nuances.
- Exposure to large-scale equipment and instrumentation purchasing.
- Certification in procurement or supply management.
- Ability to support other business units and site operations as needed.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent mandatory; a degree or relevant coursework in supply chain, logistics, engineering, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum of five years dedicated procurement experience, complemented by ten years of supervisory leadership.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work standard hours Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.
- Willingness to support travel or on-site activities as necessary.
- Maintain vendor insurance certificates and manage supplier registry updates.
