RINA is currently recruiting for a
Procurement Manager to join its office in
Chicago or Lisle, IL or
Houston, TX within the
International Procurement Division.
Compensation Data$90,000 - $100,000 commensurate with education and experience

Key Accountabilities- Forecast supplies for North American business needs.
- Manage the identification and business negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors during the bid phases, through an early involvement within the tender team, with collaboration of the business managers.
- Collaborate with key managers to ensure clarity of the requirements, specifications, and expectations of the business.
- Set up effective sourcing strategies, in line with strategic guidelines and business needs, also providing for procurement's early involvement in the main business and business development processes.
- Discover and initiate strong business partnerships with competitive suppliers (market scouting), managing the supplier's onboarding and qualification process.
- Become RINA's point of contact for procurement vendors in the North American market.
- Negotiate and finalize frame agreements and other contracts with vendors, to secure advantageous terms & conditions.
- Directly execute the procurement process (from purchase requisition to purchase orders). Assist the internal clients (business units or requesting units) in preparing purchase requisitions and service acceptance.
- Apply corporate procedures aimed to guarantee common processes across the RINA Group companies and countries, improving internal standardization, communication, management, and company integrations.
- Provide training, information, and guidance on the procurement process across the organization.
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Balance department budgets with needs.
- Provide periodic reports to Head office according to corporate needs.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree preferably in a technical subject (i.e. Engineering) or Accounting/Finance.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with strong focus on negotiation activities on a large scale. Experience in the engineering industry is preferred.
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, segregation of duties, accountability and division of responsibilities along the process.
- Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills with experience in collecting and analyzing data. Critical thinker with a high proficiency in math and logic.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a strong commitment to preparing accurate work with tight deadlines.
- Proactivity and determination in reaching challenging targets.
- Ability to influence and build relationships with key business stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international Procurement team
- Strong report writing and communication skills. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PPT) and accounting software (SAP; D365). Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
Additional Requirements- Ability to travel up to 20% may be required based upon business needs.
