Procurement Manager

Location
Located in Gardena, California, Permaswage designs and manufactures separable and permanent fluid fittings and installation tooling for aerospace and defense applications.

Position
The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the site's procurement function to ensure material availability, supplier performance, and commercial effectiveness in support of manufacturing operations. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost control, and risk mitigation to maintain production continuity and support business objectives.

This position leads and develops commodity buyers, establishes sourcing, contracting, and inventory strategies, and works cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, planning, and finance to align supply decisions with demand, capacity, and inventory requirements.
Core Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Cost
  • Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies aligned to cost reduction, lead time improvement, and supply continuity.
  • Deliver measurable cost savings through negotiation, should-cost analysis, value engineering, and supplier consolidation.
  • Lead sourcing decisions in support of new programs and ongoing production demand.

Supplier Performance & Risk
  • Own supplier relationships and performance for assigned commodities.
  • Define, track, and improve KPIs for on-time delivery, lead time, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Reduce supply risk by eliminating single points of failure through dual sourcing, capacity planning, and supplier diversification.
  • Proactively manage supplier risks that threaten material availability or production schedules.

Contracting & Commercial Terms
  • Lead negotiation and management of pricing, long-term agreements (LTAs), MOQs, lead times, and payment terms.
  • Improve commercial terms to support cost stability, flexibility, and cash flow objectives.
  • Ensure contracts comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
Execution & Prioritization
  • Ability to manage multiple commodities and initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Disciplined execution mindset with focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
Required Experience & Education
  • Relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.


For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $128,200.00 to $160,300.00 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
