The TeamThis sourcing professional will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of IT services and software, with a focus on high-value, complex contracts across the Americas and globally. The role includes collaboration with the global procurement team to execute category strategies and drive impactful outcomes.
The RoleStrategic Thinking & Market Insight
- Ability to analyze complex IT procurement scenarios and align negotiation strategies with long-term business goals.
- Deep understanding of market trends, vendor landscapes, and pricing models-especially in cloud and software licensing.
Negotiation Expertise
- Proven success negotiating high-value, complex IT contracts generating significant savings and non-monetary benefits with large software, cyber, hardware, and cloud providers, such as: Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, Google, AWS, Salesforce, Adobe, ServiceNow, PaloAlto, CrowdStrike, Seagate, Cisco, and IBM
- Experience structuring contracts to optimize cost, mitigate risk, maximize cash flow, and ensure performance and compliance.
Contract Management
- Expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing IT contracts including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, software licensing, and professional services.
- Familiarity with post-contract management practices to enforce terms and monitor vendor performance.
Analytical Acumen
- Ability to evaluate financial implications, total cost of ownership (TCO), and ROI of IT solutions.
- Use of procurement analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and assess vendor risk.
Vendor Relationship Management
- Experience fostering long-term partnerships with strategic IT vendors.
- Ability to manage vendor scorecards, SLAs, and escalation processes.
Communication & Emotional Intelligence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate needs and negotiate effectively.
- High emotional intelligence to navigate high-stakes discussions and build trust.
- Experience influencing IT Executives and IT Senior leaders to adopt Procurement best practices in negotiations with large Software and Hardware suppliers.
Technology Fluency
- Familiarity with IT systems, cloud platforms, on-prem environments, cybersecurity, and enterprise software.
- Ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders and translate business needs into procurement requirements.
Ethical & Regulatory Awareness
- Commitment to ethical sourcing and compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.

What You'll Bring- 10 years of experience in IT procurement sourcing, category management, and in partnering with IT executives and senior leaders in the execution of high-impact negotiation strategies.
- Proven track record negotiating large, complex, high-dollar IT software contracts with significant cost savings and risk mitigation.
- Experience managing relationships and contracts with hyperscalers and major software, hardware, and cyber providers, such as: Microsoft, Google, AWS, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Adobe, ServiceNow, PaloAlto, CrowdStrike, Seagate, Cisco, etc.
- Strong understanding of procurement law, with ability to negotiate supply agreements, professional services agreements, statements of work, licensing agreements, order forms, and amendments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead sourcing initiatives and influence IT executives and senior IT leaders to adopt Procurement best practices, support strategies that lead to significant reduction in IT spend.
- Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and AI tools; experience with eSourcing tools is a plus.
- Experience in managing a team of IT category managers highly desirable, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
Other Requirements:
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable with strong communication and influencing skills.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Certifications in procurement (e.g., ISM), legal, or commercial negotiations are a plus.
