The Procurement Manager will serve as a trusted business partner to cross-functional stakeholders, bringing market expertise, commercial rigor, and a continuous improvement mindset to reduce total cost of ownership, mitigate supply risk, and elevate service levels across indirect categories. This position reports to the Director of Procurement and plays a key leadership role in building procurement maturity and value delivery across the organization.

This is a hybrid position. This person must be willing to come into the office 4 days a week (one week each month can be remote).

This role has full procurement accountability for the following:

Scope Includes

MRO

Maintenance parts & consumables, repair services, industrial supplies, tooling, safety equipment, OEM/aftermarket parts management, VMI/storeroom optimization

Facilities Management

Janitorial & sanitation services, HVAC, electrical & mechanical maintenance, waste management, pest control, landscaping, utilities management

Corporate Services

Office supplies & furniture, business travel & expense, fleet, professional services, print & marketing services, temporary staffing, employee amenities

Key Responsibilities

Category Strategy & Management
  • Own and drive the end-to-end category management strategy for MRO, Facilities Management, and Corporate Services - from baseline spend analysis through strategic sourcing, contracting, and ongoing supplier governance
  • Build and maintain category profiles, including spend mapping, supply market analysis, risk assessment, and total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling
  • Develop multi-year category roadmaps aligned to operational priorities, cost targets, and business growth plans
  • Benchmark category performance against industry best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with Finance to establish spend baselines, validate savings, and align category plans to annual and long-range financial budgets

Strategic Sourcing
  • Lead and execute competitive sourcing events (RFx, reverse auctions, negotiations) for priority indirect categories, leveraging cross-functional teams and market intelligence
  • Drive consolidation of fragmented supplier bases to maximize leverage, reduce complexity, and improve service consistency
  • Identify and capture cost reduction, cost avoidance, and value engineering opportunities across managed spend

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
  • Serve as the primary procurement contact for strategic indirect suppliers across MRO, Facilities, and Corporate Services categories
  • Establish and manage a formal SRM program: define KPIs and SLAs, conduct regular business reviews, resolve performance gaps, and develop joint value creation plans
  • Manage supply risk across the indirect portfolio, including supplier financial health monitoring, business continuity planning, and contingency sourcing
  • Drive supplier development activities to improve quality, delivery, and innovation across the supply base

Contract & Compliance Management
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage the full contract lifecycle for indirect categories, including MSAs, SOWs, and pricing agreements
  • Ensure compliance with Maker's Pride procurement policies, processes, and preferred supplier programs across all sites
  • Maintain accurate contract repositories and proactively manage renewals, escalations, and expiration timelines
  • Bring governance and controls to critical third-party relationships; ensure supplier agreements include appropriate risk, liability, and performance provisions

Stakeholder Partnership & Business Engagement
  • Act as a strategic procurement business partner to Operations, Maintenance, Facilities, HR, Finance, and other functional leaders
  • Translate business requirements into procurement strategies; engage stakeholders early in sourcing processes to ensure category strategies reflect operational needs and site-level priorities
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional category teams to drive alignment, decision-making, and execution of sourcing initiatives
  • Communicate category performance, savings delivery, and risk updates to leadership through structured reporting and business reviews

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Management
  • Own and optimize the end-to-end P2P process for indirect categories, from purchase requisition and PO issuance through goods/service receipt, invoice matching, and payment resolution
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, Finance, and IT to ensure P2P workflows in SAP are properly configured, compliant, and aligned with procurement policy for indirect spend
  • Drive adoption of preferred purchasing channels (catalogs, blanket POs, standing orders) to reduce maverick spend and improve process efficiency across sites
  • Monitor and improve P2P compliance metrics including PO coverage rate, on-contract spend, and requisition-to-PO cycle times; report results to stakeholders and leadership
  • Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies, three-way match failures, and supplier payment disputes in coordination with AP and site operations teams
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline P2P processes, reduce transaction costs, and improve the buying experience for internal stakeholders
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of P2P technology enhancements, including eCatalog expansion, electronic invoicing, and system integrations

  • Skilled at identifying, assessing, and mitigating supply chain and contract risk within indirect categories
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to senior leadership and articulating procurement value in business terms
