POSITION SUMMARY

The role is responsible for driving supplier performance and optimizing procurement processes through cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Key duties include enhancing supplier capabilities, managing sourcing projects, supporting strategic sourcing and pricing initiatives, and improving contract negotiations. The position also involves overseeing daily procurement operations, analyzing cost data, and facilitating supplier and business reviews. By building strong stakeholder relationships and leading process improvement efforts, this role contributes to unlocking commercial and financial value across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work cross-functionally with planning, purchasing, materials management, procurement, operations, master data management, engineering, and quality teams to improve internal supplier-related processes, including evaluation, on-time delivery (OTD) capability development, transfer project management, and support for insourcing/outsourcing initiatives.
  • Assist in supplier-level performance improvements and support technical relationships with suppliers.
  • Support Category Managers in proactive pricing management, sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, award share optimization, and developing preferred supplier lists.
  • Strengthening commercial partnerships through supplier performance reviews and business review facilitation.
  • Collect and analyze data to support strategic sourcing and total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives.
  • Manage daily procurement activities within assigned categories, including supplier approvals, contract and supplier administration.
  • Lead and support project management activities for sourcing events, ranging from basic to moderately complex.
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to help unlock strategic and financial value.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing and procurement outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field or equivalent in business, supply chain or similar field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably direct manufacturing.
  • E-Sourcing experience, specifically with reverse auctions.
  • Strong analytical skills and expert user at Microsoft Excel.
  • A strong business acumen
  • Ability to work within a matrix management environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Process improvement skills
  • Project Management Skills - Ability to organize and schedule people and tasks
  • Highly organized and can multi-task
